Well travelled and well educated? Did you learn about objectivity or bias? When you say travelled do you mean in the air? Have you step foot in a muslim country? Have you been to a country with a culture that predates American history by 1000's of years? Do you understand irony? Lots of cultures predate the USA, that's not hard to do. Lots of cultures have not progressed an inch in those 1000 years either. How long you've been on the road helps, but it's the engine inside that makes the difference. The USA has PROVEN that it can take parts from all over the world, and with a coupling of human rights, democracy, and capitalism, can produce the biggest, most efficient engine the world has ever seen.

i think you will find the fact that America was made up of many immigrants helped. The reason you (America) has been so successfull is due to the sheer amount of resources that are available and the size. If Europe was a country then the same would be said about it. The Roman empire was far superior though!!!

I'm afraid, just like the Roman empire, we are on the decline. I give US about 10-20 years and we'll be a 3rd world country, were close right now. Anyone that has been to an inner city, big cities, knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Now you say it helped, but other countries have had a MUCH MUCH harder time assimilating other cultures.
It's the system which creates the social environment. The USA has the best SYSTEM.
