You must disclose immediately when stopped if carrying concealed. If you don't they can take the gun, and you lose your CPL for 6 months with a fine.

Plenty of great compact pistols out on the market. I have been looking all day today. Only problem is you can't buy bullets unless you shoo them at the range. Or you have to buy a gun. I went to Dicks, Gander mtn,and 4 gun stores. All you can buy is home defense ammo.
I guess I will start reloading my own ammo from now on...

Yup, and am still waiting to hear a final answer on the renewal of CPL with medicinal mj card... have sent out requests to the MI govt as we know it, and got no reply whatsoever. I was told by more than a few that the BATF cross-checks the card database as well, to determine if CPL is going to be cleared for renewal, but am not sure just how accurate that is.

I applied for a Maine CPL, and no mention was made of my MM card. They wanted a doctors note for some depression I'd had 13 years ago, but they now have that, and I should be getting the CPL in a few days.

Nice, will have to perhaps consult with a Michigan mj attorney in case they're doing anything goofy over here, I'd much rather try to avoid getting CPL stripped upon renewal attempt due to some retarded wording at the state level. Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated!

I have spoken to him on gun issues, I chat with him on FB too. He's a top shelf gun rights attorney, on the board for MCRGO, i think he did an interveiw with pierce morgan, does gun rights activities all over the state. He gets into the highest levels of gun rights. He also happens to be on board with the MM thing, he has freinded FB pages such as NORML, and has "liked" several MM related posts and sites that I have posted. He's the guy you want to talk to.

Feds can't cross check the mmj database. Only way to look up patient information is if they have your hard card in hand with your patient ID # on it.

There's a Gun & Knife Show today at Gibraltar trade center in Mt Clemens. I went to the roller derby there last night and it was all set up. Looks like quite a few tables.

They want your guns to be ziptied. I've heard pretty bad stories about security personnel handling firearms, and making people unload them. Safest place for a gun is in the holster. Dont take it out unless you intend to fire.
