You barely got into cobs, and now you are the guru huh?

Because you claim that a 750w LED light can't outperform a glorified street lamp that puts out about 40% of those watts into heat(3600 BTU). Have you personally used any Mars product though? Any at all? I've used 3 of their products and for the price, they were fine, not great. You can do quite well. Not at all. Why would you think that, lol? I have done my research on diodes, efficiency, and other relevant stuff though. It suits most people well to be skeptical of overstated marketing claims, especially when it comes to Mars Hydro.
You can do way better than Mars with your money. You should look into COB lighting. Timbergrowlights.com offer excellent lights at affordable prices. Tasty Led and Northerngrowlights are also excellent. If you're into DIY and want to save some money, then throw a message to @CobKitsI know they had VERY mixed reviews and issues with previous models.
I'm wondering if anyone uses the newest mars pro ii cree 128 and epistar models
You do realize that Epileds are no more efficient than HPS, right? In any case, you'll be happy with your COB's for sure.Because you claim that a 750w LED light can't outperform a glorified street lamp that puts out about 40% of those watts into heat(3600 BTU). Can't wait till my COB is setup so I can experience these results, like I said I will be disappointed if this thing does not absolutely kill my old LED lights. Especially just seeing peoples post on RIU, I expect 2gpw
5 1212's set up in a X-wing shape with 260 watts being driven at 1400ma.
Give me some data and I'll be glad to agree with youYou do realize that Epileds are no more efficient than HPS, right? In any case, you'll be happy with your COB's for sure.
Give me some data to support your claimsGive me some data and I'll be glad to agree with you
You can find plenty of data about the inefficiency of HID, one of the main reasons LED lights are becoming the norm. Now I know cobs blow away single led, but I'd probably still say that 1000 watts of epi single LEDs will beat 1000 watts of HID in any case.Give me some data to support your claims
Wait there's tech to drink pee....so I was doing it wrong in Iraq? Fuck!!!and my 1st job was working for the company that developed the tech for astronauts to drink their pee in space....my 1st job, again the point of all that? I have degrees too, most useless pieces of shit at times. whats your point again. Your maff still sucks.....
The only BS posted here is coming from you, these lights are junk and it's a well known fact. Epiled and epistar leds are the worst lighting solution available, they are worse than HID lights.Man you guys get so butthurt on this site it's literally unbelievable haha. Yeah I was a member on GC for 5 years, grew HID, LED, and fluro starting off....
It's ok though, because even though I've only been a member for less than a week, I've seen plenty of the BS you post...
Fuck your math, I got a degree in microbio and masters in botany, you can shove your math where the light don't hit buddy
No they have all CREE or ALL EPI, depending on which model you get. Cree have 4 chips, epi have 5
Is it the most efficient? Nah, definitely not man, but it's not a bad light. I've used both mars and amare, got similar results but the amare cost 200$ more.
I'm doing a COB build now, hopefully they give results like everyone says. The way you guys hype them up to be, I'll be pissed if I dont get 2gpw out of 250....
No.....but only because I know of much better options and 1 watt produces The same heat whether its in a toaster or led light. Just makes it differently......It's ridiculous that you guys don't even answer the OP's question and instead bash a user giving his honest opinion. What's ridiculous about a 750 watt led giving out over 1 gpw? That's ridiculous to you? I mean come on really!?
That's logical to you of course, but for someone who is starting off and maybe doesn't want to spend on excessive cooling costs may not find it illogical to buy a Mars Pro 160, which is like 300$ and can easily provide an adequate amount of medicine to a person in need? Does that sound illogical? because that is why this post was created, asking about a Mars 160
You are right, 1 watt produces the same amount of heat, that's physics, but the dissipation rates vary between electronics I believe.No.....but only because I know of much better options and 1 watt produces The same heat whether its in a toaster or led light. Just makes it differently......
So not logical when $/w is shit with those lights and they use a lot of wattage. Timber grow lights would be what is spend the $300 on and get legit efficiency and yield over hid. Those mars don't do anything a HID can't do at same wattage. I'd say hid would even do better
Aren't you the same guy who was bashing quantum boards and cobs...come on bruhThe only BS posted here is coming from you, these lights are junk and it's a well known fact. Epiled and epistar leds are the worst lighting solution available, they are worse than HID lights.
wait what..... I thought about it in Afghanistan, was close....but just thought about it...eating goat was bad enough, lol.Wait there's tech to drink pee....so I was doing it wrong in Iraq? Fuck!!!
Uhh no....QBs and cobs are epic. I bash amare.....but only because of a couple amare croniesYou are right, 1 watt produces the same amount of heat, that's physics, but the dissipation rates vary between electronics I believe.

0.63 isn't that bad, what were your results from? Sqft and plant sizeI have actually used the Pro series and I can tell you they aren't any different from their other lights, same leds different package. can they grow sure. But since switching to cobs my g/w went way up. with mars pro the highest i got was .63g/w my first cob grow was 1.13g/w. I sold the mars off asap and haven't looked back
That was towards that Yoda guy, I saw him on Cobbys thread talking mad crap about Qb saying they were no better than Mars panels.Uhh no....QBs and cobs are epic. I bash amare.....but only because of a couple amare cronies
Ohh yoda is a little well known as just an unhappy grower. So he shits on EVERYONES threads0.63 isn't that bad, what were your results from? Sqft and plant size
Glad that cob kicked it up to 1.13, what type of system you running and in what size area?
