yeah, i saw that. who would have guessed that the guy who shot 77 kids in norway was a member. 100 murders in the last 5 years from people with ties to that site alone.

and half the righties in our politics section either share those views or actually came from there.

I've observed a few men I know shift to the right. It usually starts with a loss of a loss of control over something. Guns are often a substitute or an attempt to leverage control back some how. By the later I mean the control that one finds with a gun in their hand. Even if it's just at the range.

There is a documentary about a woman who watched her father get very much pulled in by the radio show right wing and worsened as he aged. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the doc.

i did say i wouldn't post pictures there anymore and left a link for RIU

one friend of mine got robbed at gunpoint and now is a psycho gun clinger and anti-government retard. i even had to block him on FB as every single day he would post 5 different retarded things about how guns so awesome! government bad!

i know he was taken by surprise when he was robbed and had no time to react by the time there was a gun in his face. i asked him what difference having a gun would have made for him in that case and he couldn't answer. just kept on going off the deep end about how he needed a gun now.

i can only see his sanity slipping away from him if he doesn't seek professional help for whatever mental issues he's struggling with.

It does not pay to speak out if you're a conservative here - or if you find homosexuality offensive. Nothing will get your banned quicker; that's why you could not melt me down and pour me into the Politics or Spirituality and Religion forums.
