booby-trapping rippers

Let me Begin by saying I have a engineering & quality control background. I also realize that booby trapping is very illegal.

So with that being said, I guess Im in need of some electrical advice.

Im trying to booby trap a staircase. Using every other stair as a positive #1 or positive #2. I figured a double pole ten amp breaker won't kill anyone since it takes 11 amps minimum to be fatal. I also considered car battery but it releases hundreds of amps and there is no way to stop the shock.

Now I was going to do 6 stairs. Each having an electrical rubber mat on the stair case, followed by a thick gauge sheet metal painted black to blend in. Each piece of sheet metal will have a bolt that protrudes underneath the staircase. Where I will jump positive #1 to stairs 1, 3 & 5. Positive #2 to 2, 4 & 6.
Now this is obviously a fire hazard to some extent. N I also plan on installing ground rods.

My question is...

With the rubber mats its very unlikely the wood will heat up, correct?

Arcing shouldn't be an issue, correct?

Any positive feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

depending on your state, you will be liable, lets say if he falls and hurts himself etc, i think that is not as good of an idea as you may think, why not some IR triggers run on an arduino and set it up to speak through a megaphone pre-recordeded voice saying you see them and to get off your property, play a sound of a shotgun cocking, also have it text you when its triggered, have a secuirty camera etc, :) thats what i would do but then again im pretty ocd with the shit, currently run security cameras that just text me when alerts are triggered. or get some big ass dogs :)

hell gmo those sharks for fresh water and you can make their tank a huge dwc setup. get close and fry with the lasers then munch as to leave no trace. muhahaha

I am planning a greenhouse/outdoor grow for 2018 and will be keeping bees and planting stinging nettle( great organic fert fyi)

Seriously can't get no support behind accidentally dropping a board full of nails sitting pointy side up in a depression in the floor or a dark walkway?
Well damn, not as bad as using a board full of nails for light support, poorly suspended from the ceiling using a system of strings, that may or may not partially fail when doors are opened or items moved.

There used to be a spot on my property that was the weakest link in terms of security. It's now a cactus garden. I also have a couple Mexican lime trees and Madagascar palms which have nightmarish spikes on them. There are also 4 separate cameras on the property that I can monitor from my phone, computer, or tv.

its just a pulse so it should be fine

Is the goal that they fall down the stairs and must they be barefoot in order for this to work?

If so then fuck it, just light up the handrail. lol?

I have a shitload of cacti, but I am growing some bougainvillea like a hedge around my precast walls. No one is climbing through that shit once it is established.

bougainvillea. Comes in many colours. The more you trim it the more it flowers and grows.
They are super hardy too.

Huh, we had bougainvillea in S. Fla but it looked different from the pic.
Could be me though - the White Widow has kicked in.

The simple fact is. No matter what you do. If some asshole wants to come onto your property. And they get hurt in some way.

You can still be held liable for "damages" or "bodily harm". Despite the fact they shouldn't have been there in the first place.
