here in oregon you can only grow for six people, can only have 6 plants, that are 12 ins by 12 inchs tall, so that w/be 36 plants that are atleast 12in tall and 12 ins wide
grumpy people, grumpy people, lighten up guys, i dont think anyone was dishing him just making comments, good luck i got busted back in 75 for growing pot, manufact;uring chg, got 3 yrs bench probation, i was facing 20 years but dea beat me up and my lawyer took pictures, dropped them in front of da , got bench boy i was sweaten it, lol

People who want to grow marijuana legally should read ALL laws regarding medical marijuana where they live. Simply enough, 95% of those growing marijuana in california and trying to sell as a dispensary or primary caregiver are doing so illegally. There are so many guidelines california, more specifically the attorney general has posted to tell those who are legitimately going into this business how to keep it legal. First and foremost, SB 420 WAS overturned, but this does not mean you can grow as much as you want. It is stated in prop. 215 that you can grow as much that is reasonable.... Growing massive amounts of plants is hard to prove is reasonable. Second, you say you have 10 patients. Do you have membership agreements from all of them before you ever gave them pot. Have you documented all transactions, the amount of pot sold to each person, what date, when their cards expire, confirmed their script with their doctor, have all financial transactions documented, have your organization organized as non-profit? What about the plants at your house? Have you ever sold pot in your house because thats a no no and will get you busted. Simply put, you break any of these laws and you are illegally operating and there are many many more that need to followed. Its is a BAD idea to listen to the news and take their views on legislation/laws as legal advice. The news usually have no idea what it means. It doesn't even matter what ONE lawyer will tell you, there are just as many that disagree. Your court case will depend largely on all the lawyers/judges that are involved with how it will turn out. Many have their pot returned, but those are ONLY people who followed the laws to the T. Dispensaries and people are going to jail because they haven't bothered to read laws. You don't open a restaurant without knowing all the health codes, medical marijuana is no different and in fact is MUCH more important to follow do to the grew area.
To sum the above up, don't be stupid and believe there is no limit. Such a touchy endeavor should never be started without knowing EVERYTHING about the laws. This is your life. Laws are always more complicated then anyone ever believes.

Jeez asshole chill, you need to read the whole thread, and you are a dumbass for not using a card as an excuse, nobody is getting their door kicked down for 6 plants. You dont know his patience and their needs. Also man, the thought that you think someone should have to be sick to smoke pot is fucking ridiculous, I had a brain tumor when i was six, i get bad head aches and pot helps, i also suffer from sever anxiety and some ocd and pot helps. But more then anything man, i just like to blaze and people shouldnt have to make up an excuse to blaze. So fuck if you have a medical reason by all means get your card and smoke, if you dont, fuck the system, make up a lie and get your card!

I definitely agree that just about anyone should be able to smoke. Best way to put it is that cali. made prop 215 to leave it in the hands of doctors to decide what a legitimate reason for cannabis is. If it helps with depression, anxiety, or what not, then they have a medical need for it. One thing that annoys me are these high and mighty douchebags who believe it should only be allowed for terminally ill patients. You know what i think? That it sounds just like the government's position from the start.. "your problems aren't big enough for marijuana". Terminal patients didnt like being told that and patients with more minor problems don't like being told it. If a doctor gives it do you no one can say anything different to your actual need. Anything that can be abused will be abused by some, grow up and deal with life.
I will also agree with the other guy a few posts up about donations and being not for profit. Those who decide to go into this business must realize it is NOT for profit and in the end you SHOULD be doing your best for your most seriously ill patients. the saddest part is that most are for profit. money being made is not going back into the business (after you are paid a legitimate salary) nor being passed down to patients. If you don't care about those who need this medicine very badly then get out of this or wait for general legality of it.

First off, good luck to you. I respect that you are doing this for patients, but the reality is, why take that risk for people? And the amount of plants you have seems way excessive. Why not help them set up personal grows at their own house? A heavy smoker could have more than enough pot from 1 600w lamp harvesting a pound every 2 months.
Greediness is taking over California, and people will get busted if they don't follow all the rules. I hope this lesson doesn't need to be learned over and over by people. Keep the numbers reasonable and you have no problem in Cali. But start growing for 10 patients, and have 100's of plants means your in deep shit. Keep it to your counties limits, regardless of what you interpret the law to mean. The counties come up with numbers they think is appropriate. So if you want to max out, move to an area that allows higher amounts of plants. Don't go over 99 ever.

I was going to ask how they got a search warrant and then I seen you had almost 400 mature plants.
I wouldn't grow that much, and feel sorry for you to a point because it is just MJ, but it obviously was a cash crop or something fishy.

Come on dude marijuana isn't just a medicine is a way of life. It works as a medicine as well as a mood enhancer. Technically u could call alcohol medicine if u look at the other medications around now a days. The medicinal thing was set so that weed would technically be legal but the feds couldnt do much. ya cancer patients do well but even in VIRGINIA u can get medical weed and not be arrested if u have cancer. I lived there i seen it myself. Cancer and aids are an exception if a cop pulled u over in a buzzkill state and u said i have cancer what kind of asshole would he have to be to arrest u for smoking.....he wouldnt.
also this guy wasnt "hustlin trees to highschoolers" and he also was near his legal limit, everyone exceeds the limit once in a while bc are u gonna throw a away a perfectly good female bc u have too many plants i think not

ok, so this was the first harvest we have had together, so nothing had been sold or dispensed to ANYONE! the 5 lbs that was dry had just barely finished curing. the 60 that were almost ready for harvest would have given us quite a yield. maybe more then our patients could use. we are both members of a few medical dismenseries and would have been selling some to them. and paying tax on that money.
as far as the rest of the number count goes, 40 were in veg that were 4' tall but those were going outside around the begining of april. the other 250 or so were seedling and the sex had not been determined. each patient was to get 10 of their own to be grown outside. i think that explains the total count and why so many.
why i didnt set a light up with each patient is because it isnt as easy as that. not everybody has the love and dedication. not to mention if something went wrong, bugs, mold over or under feeding and the time to do it. some have children and some just dont want to grow.
i love it. i have been doing it for 30 years. i have never grown on this scale. but then again i lived in idaho for the last 18 of those years. i grew up in so. cali and if you have read this whole post know that i am in no. cali. i really truly though i was in the perfect place to do this legally and as far as i knew i was completely legal!
i really dont like to be negative and slam the ignorant ones making posts that seem to just be slamming me so i would like to thanks those of you who have stood up for me and taken care of those nit-wits for me. to you i say thank-you!

They served a warrant for someone else from that address before. If they have a warrant to search someplace for someone, they get to search regardless of what you say about their current residence status. Completely bad luck.
The fact that the law just changed prior to this I think he has some hope. Unconstitutional to impose limits, he had 10 patients.. I personally consume 2 plants per week sometimes. That is 2 ounces a week almost and my wife eats it she does even more than that.

Good luck man! I really have no grasp of how things work in the U.S. other than the bullshit I have seen on TV. The DEA busting perfectly legal dispensaries and shit like that. Don't worry about the haters. The internet seems to bring them out in numbers lol. Be sure to keep us updated, same bullshit as Marc Emery here in Canada. From what I have read it looks like you have a pretty good shot at beating it.
