Hey Folks,
Time for another round of growing! I germinated two C99 S1 from Duke Diamond’s vault. One was very tall and lanky with a spicy musk stem rub, the other was squat with a pineapple, allspice, musk, stem rub. I tossed the tall one and stuck with the latter. I transplanted her (verified female) into my 12 gal SIP that had cover crops (barley, crimson clover, and peas) growing in it for 60+ days. Prior to that I had a SFV OG x Stardawg from Greenpoint Seeds in it. I chopped it, sowed the cover crop and let the worms and pill bugs eat the roots of the previous crop. Top dressed with Dr. Earth’s homegrown 4-6-3 a couple weeks ago and the soil is recycled Coot’s Mix. Since last grow I have not disturbed the soil other than digging a hole for the transplant. I have not used coot’s nutrients as a top dress, mostly Dr Earth, homemade worm castings, various Down To Earth meals, ferments, insect frass, etc.
Here she is at 2 months, recently transplanted 5 days ago. I’m going to veg her for a couple of weeks, then flip. Humidity is not at the peak level for growth but not that far off. Soil is excellent, will top dress again in a week or so, then lay off higher nitrogen ratios.
Im looking forward to smoking this strain, I have been growing lot’s of OG variants and it’s time for something different. I grew this strain 4 yrs ago and even the poorest grow yielded some heady weed and beautiful bud structure. I learned some hard lessons last time around, time to produce something better.
