Yes i only use a+b through veg then add 0.3/0.4 ml per litre of pk13/14 from week 3/4 in flower.

I just wanted to take a second to shout out canna Coco plus & their nute line, but mainly their coco (I think I could get same results with a different nute line) So far in my my entire run (about to be going on week 6), the runoff EC value comes out lower then the input EC! Sometimes up to 400-500 lower other times closer to even, but always lower! It literally says on coco for cannabis that this is an anomaly. My thinking behind this is it is just really good Coco which is why it doesn’t allow for buildup. Can anyone explain the reason behind this happening, other than it’s just really good coco?

Nice little guide. I was wondering how high my ec runoff could be and still be acceptable. I’m usually 130-150 ppm higher coming out.

Coco has a low CEC, which is one of the reasons we multifeed-it just doesn't store much nutrition. A lower EC runoff than input just means your plants are feeding heavily. How often are you feeding at what EC?

I’m feeding 2-3 times a day, just depends on day & only once to runoff @ 1.2EC & I got another plant I’m feeding @ 1.0EC 2-3 times a day as well. I aim for once in the morning before work and once in the evening before bed and if I’m around during lunch I’ll fertigate a little then as well.

Yeah looking back if you’re using Cana Coco I would not add any perlite. I sent them an email and they replied to me that their Coco is designed to be used without perlite

| We do not recommend adding perlite. Continue using the substrate and water till you get 10-20% drainage. It can take time for the substrate to fully saturate and fine peat does indeed increase the water holding capacity of a medium, but you will get drainage. The coco is designed with ideal porosity from the start and increasing the porosity by adding perlite means you will have to water more frequently. You may get faster drainage, but the medium will dry out faster too, so you still would have to water more. When the container is well rooted, irrigation demands will increase even more. CANNA Continental Your question: When using canna Coco professional plus is it recommended to add additional perlite to the medium? I will be using the canna coco line for nutrients |

I didn't rinse my perlite on my first grow and was wondering why there was white sludge coming out of the starter pots drain holes.
I'll be running straight coco going forward now.

I think a lot of coco users gravitate towards straight coco eventually. I've got a few bonsai mothers that I'm testing out in straight coco and the media has congealed into a solid block, like a giant rapid rooter. I don't recommend coco for bonsai moms though, dries out too quick, but it was all I had around at the time. It still drains fine and I've had no issues with it. I love pure coco.

I remember the first time I advised someone against using perlite and going straight coco you laugh-emojied me and it pissed me off lol. Glad you're finally coming around.

It's not unusual regardless what anyone has said, I've used canna exclusively and noted it numerous times, it's never amounted to a problem for me, if you do a search for low ec and ppm in run off there's a lot of results that might help more.
I've never washed or buffered canna to me it's fine out of the bag, I suspect the low run off ec is due to the buffering process, if it's not I'll happily stand corrected with information?
I went through a 7/10 day period of low ec around about Christmas with plants that were well established, I suspect low temperature was the cause but idk, anyway it passed without issue as it always has don't worry about it, it'll correct itself.
I tested a coco brick this week with 1.0 and 0.2 come out the 1st then 0.7 regardless how much I put through.

When you guys are flushing before harvest do you still do a little runoff? or do you do no runoff that way the salts can get used up
