CFL grow Closet--Fertilizer challenge

Color rendering indexis useless information, It only refers to what the human eye is able to see, not what photosynthesis uses. Only thing you need to know about those bulbs, is Lumens, and spectrum. Happy growing, and not looking bad at all!

Oh yea, and the reason you shouldnt use aluminum foil, is because it creates hotspot's and will result in burnt plants, I myself would go with white paper, in this situation! again goodluck and happy growing!

NO BONG WATER.

The aluminum foil will cause hot spots.
If you do end up using make sure there are little to no creases and crinkles in the foil. (cause hot spots)

Air flow by intake and exhaust is imparative.

the > in front of the 80 as you typed it would indicate more than 80.

80 what, did it have a suffix?

Does the box say daylight or cool white?

The blue light part of the spectrum is a cooler white (for veg)
The red light part of the spectrum is a warmer white (for flower)
They are still both white they just have more of one color than the other.

Here are the girls, Oprah is the biggest and has a really nice stalk they are already starting to smell like bud. thats all I have for today, tomorrow I am going to add grow power and crushed up best tabs into my soil. worked great on my outdoor last season. lush green leaves and a very fruity and looked like it had been dipped into sugar and glitter. I am going to put the cfls on the map with this fat grow. and I took off the glitter even though I thought it might be doing wonders.

This is my first indoor grow, I cant believe the growth everyday. I get home from work and check on them, they grow about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch a day at least. the others are starting to catch up to the Oprah the big one. I am glad I came home early today. I forgot to water yesterday, and since its so warm (frozen water bottle melted) the dirt dried up quick. they got kinda burnt a bit on the edges but they will be fine. CFLS are very impressive. I am letting the dirt completly dry out before watering. There is about 2 hours a day when I am at work that the ice bottle air conditioner melts, so it gets pretty warm for about two hours before I get home and replace the frozen 2 gallon water jug. I think this might actually be good for the plant to get a couple hours of extra warmth before cooling down again, we will see later on. Ok I transplanted the babies to bigger containers, I put the big one in the biggest container as to use the fish aquarium theory. I also transplanted all the plants with my organic compost I have been saving. It contains regular potting soil with carrot shavings, celery, beets, onions,spinach lettuce, as well as a bunch of other fruits I use when making my juices, I just use the shred thats left from the juicer and throw it in my soil compost pile, there is a bunch of leftover meals and various foods thrown in there as well that have composted, some lettuce and celery hasnt broke down yet but oh well. I transplanted the plants into this soil today, I watered them a lot because they keep drying out too fast. I also had to adjust the lighting and what not, check out the pics, the babies are looking good. I am going to let them veg for two more weeks before flowering. tomorrow I am going to add my grow power and best tabs to the soil should have done it today but didnt have it here. Here are a few pics of the babies on day 7, oprah is charging so much daily, its amazing. I am all about cfls. any recommendations would be appreciated.

Here are the babies today, I added my best tabs, and grow power mix today. I think the organic compost in the soil is helping a lot, the plants have a few burn marks but I can tell they are very healthy still. Oprah the big one is getting a very big stalk which is good. The nutrients should kick in by next week, July 10th I am going to flower them, they might be too small huh? Hopefully they skyrocket with the nutrients. How much do they grow during flowering? Double? Please everyone throw in your two cents

Ok I had four plants in the closet I dont think I was getting substantial cfl lighting because losing a lot of light. SO I am removing two plants and placing them outside to start getting normal daylight hours. I am using the two smaller plants, what is going to happen to them? Are they going to start flowering? I have the two big pots in the closet now the biggest one has four cfls on a two y sockets, then two more cfls with shop reflectors to complete the cirlce around the pot, the other pot I placed close so it can get some of this light from one side, then I have three additional cfls on this one. Do you think I am goinng to get more growth now? Whats going to happen to the smaller ones I place outside in their pots.

It looks like four on the big one. I took two out of the closet because I wasnt able to concentrate the eight lights on all four, it seemed like they needed more,SO I took the nicest looking two and left them in the closet the big one with four CFLS on it, the smaller one with 3. I am totally surrounding the plant so it does not have one spot not covered by a cfl. The other two are getting put outside, are they going to flower?

I actually have six clss on the big plant, and three on the little one in the closet, are too many cfls too much? I have two y sockets both with CFLS on so thats four, then I have two more with shop lights on it, completely surrounding the pot its in. I have proper air flow and temp so would it matter? Also do you think the two smaller plants I put ouside will start to flower?

They are growing awesome with the cfls, stem is getting super fat, check out the pictures a lot of growth a bit of nute burn but they are fine. Any suggestions, or answers to my previous questions?

HOpefully getting my mylar anyday now., Plants look good see pics. One is a lot bigger than the others that germed same time. Could this be a male since males get bigger faster? Check out the underbrush in the pics? Anyone, Anyone? Buehler? Beuhler?

Just tied the plants up LST style. Read a few threads and it seemed like my yield would be better this way. Any suggestions. I tied the top of the plant down with sewing string, and watered it a lot incase of any stress. adjusted my cfls accordingly.

Tied Up The Babies Last Night Basically Pulled The Top Part Of The Plant Down So The Side Is Exposed, In One Day It Has Already Become Super Bushy, Got My Mylar Today And Put It Up In The Room, Does Mylar Help Much? Here Are A Few Pics.
