Oh, and as you can see, i got 2 perfect loops now!!! This grow is going great, knock on wood...

this is why i never pay for seeds :-P

also, i've been drying and keeping all the fan leaves i've pruned since flowers appeared. yesterday i ground them up and smoked a nice phat bowl. It got me way higher than any regular bagweed!!! and it tasted nice and skunky, can't wait for the real bud!

So I set a couple of "fly" traps today, hopefully they will do the jorb. but i am also going to put some fly paper in there. One trap is just vinegar with plastic over it; poke hole in with a knife so the gnats get in and drown or just get stuck. The other trap is a grape, cut in half and sprayed, heavily, with poison.; also covered so the poisoned ones hopefully don't die in my flowers. and the fly trap is sure to attract the res of the stubborn ones.
the plants seem to be doing fine, i pruned a bit and dropped a light in the center of the box for a total of 5, 6500k (32500k) cfls now.& that's only 115W! lol and i am growing 4 bushes off it.
I have been flush-feeding every-other-day, with miracle grow plant liquid food. 15-16 drops/qt. doesn't seem to be hurting, so i'll just stay with that for now.

What's up man. Cool looking grow you got going. Regarding gnats and flies, I've heard that if you stick in a couple slices of a fresh potato each day and then throw it out the next, it will help because the bugs will lay their eggs in the potato. and if you keep throwing it out the living bugs (who only live for a few days anyway) will eventually die off.

I've just started my own micro grow a couple days ago. Check it out here

lol why would u chop your plant that early...your insaneeeeeeee

Actually, being insane, I planned to grow and harvest the fastest, cheapest way possible. As long as I get 1/2 oz p/plant this will be a continuous cycle. I mostly cut it to taste it b/c I used a cheap soil, bagseed, and little nutes. I thot it was gonna look better than it really is, but it is as good as it looks. The other 3 and what's left of this one are still flowering. Plus I went away for the week, and I figured I'd at least try it, in case something went wrong while I was gone. But all went well and they look better than ever!

:peace:

yea man i would have to say you are insane for cutting that plant so early. it was just starting to bud... next time be more patient, let it finish. u will be alot more satisfied.

where do you get so many seeds from? what strain are the plants?

nice set up btw i definately givin it a try

This is from seeds in my regular Mexican shwag bud that I have collected over the years... I have about 1000 or so, I mixed them all up. If you take care of them, almost any MJ seed can be great

And to Florida:
my plants are basically bonsaied, so they have small roots and are twisted, bushy little mothers. They are not intended to be mass producers, just efficient and space saving.
And as i said, I left for a week and wasn't sure all would be well when I returned... I got lucky, the rest of this plant (bottom left) is still thriving as well as the 3 others, I had to move them, so I thot it may stress them, so I took the good nugs while I had a chance to, no regrets either.Dry weight the three colas came out to 1/3 oz. and the last cola left is the biggest one, and she's growing fine still as you can see.

wait u harvested part of that plant? i dono man it just looked like there was no trichomes on it. but hey if it get u high then enjoy. at least your happy with what u got.
sounds like you have plenty of seeds so im sure you have a lot to learn with. believe me, letting you plant mature fully will make the biggest difference in the world. keep growin, your skills will only improve.

I agree, from that pic it may be hard to see the quality in some pix, but that is because the lights are so damn bright in there, and the glare off the white pistils is too right for the camera to read clearly in there. Plus I'm a crappy photographer, sorry.

But, if u look u can see that I cut the lower 3 colas and left the largest one in the rear there to finish filling out. NO Nutes have been added or proper watering/flushing because i have been out of town. So I feel lucky to come home to any functioning plant material. This really has been one of the easiest (low-maintenance) grows I've ever done. And I always top, trim, prune and bend 'em hard.

:peace:

ok i see them in that pic... and that thing is just beginning to bud, imagine how dam frosty it would be when it finishes. like i said tho enjoy.. sounds like its very tasty. you said it was some random seeds right? looks like some good genetics to be gettin frosty that early into flower.

Good 'ol durable Mexican Brick weed seeds, free seeds and not a single sign of hermaphroditic traits! And exactly 4/8 (f/m) ratio

even "feminized" seeds come out 50% males or hermies, and u could never stress those store-bought brands like I can with these wild seeds!

i wouldnt know about fem seeds, never used em.

but yea ive grown some real nice bud from brick weed seeds. i got a pic somewhere hold on..

not to bad eh?

I hope they frost up a bit more, of course. They have gotten a beautiful 70 or below with rain for the past 2 days, it's the perfect pre-fall harvest weather, so I've actually been letting them get some fresh air for a change. They seem really happy

Also, i think my gnat problems are not so much a problem because this soil is growing moss real fast. and it has not been over moist, the moss actually grows when the top of the soil is dry. I think the gnats are cleaning the surface soil and they supposedly only eat decomposed plant matter, so I think that they may actually be contributing to the fertilization of the soil. They defecate and lay eggs there, so it's bound to help somehow. They stay away from the buds and don't chew they leaves so no harm done, I guess. Nothing noticeable anyway.
:peace:

this is my last mexi-bagseed grow:

Yeah buddy, but try to keep 4 of 'em from growing out of a rubbermaid box, that's my trick, and they are harvest redi in only 2 months. big beauties like urs take 4 or more months, and I only wish I had that open space and sunshine available to me, I would go back to jail tho:roll:
