Well, I definitely meant the 48, running in CV mode at ~53V, although you may not hit 100W/cob like that, and the current might not split very evenly between them, since I see that is outside of the CC range. Might be a terrible idea.

HLG-240H-C2100 is what I would personally go with since I don't mind leaving some space on the driver, probably 220W run wide open. Or the HLG-185H-52B at 1725mA/~87W each for a softer option.

Don't think there is a -60B for the 185.

A little full DIY 30 watt set up from China for $31.24. Looks like you just need something to mount it on.

Something like this might be a good starter for us less electronically inclined types to try to set up to learn. The Timber Grow lights deal or the GrowMau5set up on the website in AU are great options if you have more to spend.

That's 30 1 watt epiled. The aluminum might be worth something at the scrap yard.

I have a very cheap option I came up with in another thread...where was that.

8x CLU058-1825 ~$240
4x HLG-185H-48 ~$240
8x Mechatronix IceLED coolers ~$120

Which is ummmm $600? I mean beat that, anybody. I dare you. This will be 800W, 130k lumens or so. At least 48% efficiency, 1900-2000 umol/s.

Basically a fresh bulb 1000W DE replacement for $600, much less heat, no bulbs to replace, etc. Totally killer.

4 pcs COB type: CLU038-1205 each COB watt is 33.5w.
With a 90% efficient driver, so they say.
For 150 dollars, dunno shipping.

I'm asking if they ship CLU038-1210 or CLU048-1212 too and for what price.

Anyone know the LER of the CLU038-1205?
It doesn't have very high lm/w but it's very high CRI (97) so it's most likely a lot more efficient than the lm/w would imply.

Edit:The 80 cri 1205 at typical watt is 148 lm/w
But it's driven at like twice the typical wattage, so not super efficient.

I'll wait until I get answer if it can be shipped with the CLU038-1210 or CLU048-1212

cobkits.com is cheap as fuck
But that alibaba seller isn't exactly a rip off compared to so many shit I've seen.
And if it sells that 4 COB highbay light with CLU048s for 200 dollars max, I will most likely buy one.

Wasted money.

A T5H0 fixture is better value than that.

Plenty cheap, 75 dollars for 230 watt.

Datasheet says 50 degree temp rise with 200 watt dissipated heat.

I'm very sure it can take the full 365 watt from an 1825 because not everything of it becomes heat.
I don't recommend running it at 365 watt because it isn't extremely efficient at that A, but it's extremely cheap per watt.

CLU058 is the current king.

an 1825 @ 160W is about 45% efficient > 88W of heat
an 1825 @ 340W is about 38% efficient > 210 W of heat

300W is prob a top limit for the iceled

a 3618 @ 340W is slightly more efficient than an 1825

id keep em under 200 a chip for best results

There are 2700K and 3000K T5HO lamps that are suited for flowering.

For grows under 500 watt, it's pretty cost effective because those lights have an ok efficiency and last longer than MH or HPS.
T5 HO is also pretty bright, normal T5 bulbs at 4 feet are 28 watt but 4 feet T5HO bulbs are 54 watt.

Obviously not as efficient as good LEDs, but it does the job for a relatively small price.
