Choosing a rosin press

I might of not even lost my moms as yes botritus systemic but pm is not and botrotus needs flowers to infect so no way my mom is bad right? The pm just grosses me out too I dont even want my weed its why I was quick to test something so obnoxious with the last press.

Might not even have to clean the place. When considering it only takes one and my room was very dirty never cleaned from the first time I grew. It was like several kinds of mold in a super packed tent.

If I cant just weasle my way back in I cam just ave money and turn carpet to hard floors and get a mini split so I can keep room as sealed as possible. I air in from outside and from the home so mold can get in that way too but In my short experience it takes a high consentration to make this like this. Its weird it only takes one and bad luck but same time could get very lucky.

I mean I got the banana candy krush just chillin in a war zone. I kept it together enough to not kill them and its a symbol of hope at this time as if it checks all boxes I got fem seeds I dont even need to buy anything to start up again.

Yup youre right its day 10 or so flower and it shows pistol. Added to my bag of tricks lol. So I got a porto leche female flowering and a clone rooting so its mothered.

It just looks like spades took 11 wks to see yet again a spade but almost two wks into flower its pistols. It really does seem like a male. Maybe a hermie because lots of weird looking parts will see.

Porto Leche exotic genetix its just throwin some sacs that time but its flowerin now. Sage smell with vicks vapor rub. It can still change its just early flower. See I cant get a purple pheno to save my life I got kongs krush next to it supposed to be purple but second time I got green only.

Well Pegboy was right thinking I would like it now just need to see what it yields in flower rosin. Hoping for 20-25%. It did you 23-28%. Awf I really like this strain. Blueberry bang bang up next Im seedling hungry again.

I didnt update thread with banana candy krush I dont think. I reviewed it on dabs all day thread. Its 10% yield can scrape up like 1-3% off the paper if you let it dry a bit. It comes out even more liquidy than I ever had. Potency is absolutely there so hmm not all that right? Yea but the taste will rock your socks off.

Like a banana pixie stick with some kush gas after taste. Its literally like sugar on the tongue its that sweet with a hint of banana. I will grow it out try get 30gs flower rosin when I have my stash stacked up to where I need to take break so the rosin dont go bad.

Wondering if anyone has used the press club 25 micron puck style bags (the circle bags with the flap that fold over the back) for pressing hash? Anyone know how much has I should be fitting in each one? thanks!

Im almost positive 60% of those or more on my thread unwatch it as I ramble a lot. Hope someone chimes in for ya if I had to Id say all bags are good especially press club. Im sure you saw me press dry sift I did 9gs at once double bag no blow out even with excessive pressure. Id think dry sift is harder on the bag than that lovely oozy bubble hash.

So we are back. Welcome fellow kush aliens. So my hand trim experiment is continueing. I was at 16% doing eighths then 17.5% and again but with 20gs. The next press was 20gs to 18.4%. I used to only get exactly 12% with machine trim and not the same quality. Rough playdough less terpy and less potent vs live resin like.

Taste yield and potency through the roof. Hand trim ya herbssssz. Not quite 20% so I learned the same pheno can express different yields of hash. I dont believe it has anything to do with bud moisture.

The porto leche is a shit pheno. 10%. At this point its harder to find a replacement to the watermelon ultra. The banana candy krush 10% the kongs krush was the next best at 15%. Idk what this new pheno Kk will do but if I cant pop a stable pheno of PL first try then thats a thinker.

Just gonna mono crop WU and wait til Im due for a break soon and just pop all new beans. Bean hunt for another keeper. Secure my leading results. Like what would I do if I lose the WU like I almost did.. Or at least idk about keeping any plant with Pm.

Im gonna buy some beans that I think may do it including WU and bean hunt them. Get up confidence that I can bounce back if I lose my mvps.

I dont think I mentioned here as well that one was right about pressing with seeds. The flower rosin will taste like it. Im not sure about my WU as when I pressed the seeded batch I also burnt it sonit was rank anyway.

Thing is youd destroy hash deseeding it like Im now finding with my studies. Easy to destroy which explains why the dry sift rosin lacks certain taste and potency. The flower rosin has it all and more. The dry sift rosin was very refined is what Im saying.

Another thing is why drysift the buds to seperate it and refine the outcome for flavor but only have 1g per 10gs dry sift. Why when you could have 2.8gs per oz flower which is already triple to start. Its a bummer but Im forced to see if second gen clones will out grow seeding or pollinating like my WU did.

While it doesnt trash a harvest like if you were a smoker, you at least have a lot of rosin still that wont hurt to dab like it would smoking.

So while Im experiencing difficulty finding strains that yield more than 10% Il see what the chances are it can out grow seeding and pollinating. I say that because my WU wont seed in a pollinated room as if its sterile. I dont think thats possible but results are results. I look at the data, what have I experienced or others that I can make an important desicion based on..

So yah… Im not taking anymore cuts of PL or KK but if it outgrows seeding and becomes good smoke Id grow it for family to keep them refreshed. Though working with just the mvps sounds better.

Not that it would be 10% rosin per 10gs dry sift but uts very possible. If it dont flower rosin well it probably wont dry sift rosin well. A night mare to find out though.

Shit you know what, its kinda upsetting to my athsma. Its not just taste. It must be shedding oils, the seeds. Making it harsh. Making me wonder if uncured weed rosin can be harsh to some people but its not bothered me. So idk about that one but I might dry sift the bud and press the sift.

17.68% 164.5gs flower to 29.05gs flower rosin. Crude oil!!! For lifeee

Dry sift coming soon. About to chop a couple plants maybe just shy of a qp. So yea just doing the math, I got 5.875oz that I hand trimmed and got 29gs flower rosin. I normally get 12.6% machine trim and for 7 oz I get like 10gs sift. Sift rosin 15-37% return.

So lets say I get 8gs sift on a good day that turns to 15-40% return from almost 6oz. I really dont think I would of gotten that but lets pretend. That would actually make sense because Id get 20.75gs flower rosin and 8 gs sift making 29gs of hash just about.

Problem is when you dry sift youl only get 40% in my garden so thats 3.5gs sift rosin. Thats 24gs rosin but you lost 5gs of dabbable hash good hash. The sift is refined which people love so theres that. Its more valueable just not to me. Only if you need to seperate seeds like Im about to.

Another problem is it can turn out raunchy anyway unless you clean up the sift static tech for one way. But that doesnt solve the fact youd only get like 1.2gs from 15% of dry sift. Thats 22gs so you lost 7gs flower rosin so thats a quarter ounce lost very easily instead of 29gs this run.

So I guess you can see most of the hash in machine trimmer but based on my experience Ive also been extremely short which doesnt explain. Doesnt explain why I could magically create substantially more rosin from seemingly nowhere. It does happen. Il dig up another potential example. The times I was very short of any rosin.

So just going back its on this thread too. I only got 23gs sift off 29oz bud machine trimmed. I got 20gs sift from 14oz that turned to 37% dry sift rosin. So the next run I was short by about half the dry sift and then only got like 20% sift rosin from that.

So at first I didnt think bud trimmers were bad. I though ok you just get the dry sift from the trim inside the trimmer and make an even better product. Turns out only sometimes as I lost half the dry sift and sift rosin yield. Where did all that go?

I guess it yielded less hash in trim and buds but the best way to get most of it is hand trim. Based what I said I potentially increased my yield so its still valid findings. It just seemed like much more when I found I had a 20% sample of two oz. I may hit 20% overall yield one day.

Its all same pheno same clone. I think my yield was always much higher if hand trimmed but sometimes it does yield lower for some other reason not related to physical loss. Just grew less hash maybe but should of always been a good 16% at the minimal. Maybe 17%. I guess the test is ongoing as I keep reporting my findings.

I sure aint using machine trimmers anymore. I used enough of it to compare. Im due for more hand trim samples. The larger they are the more shit Il talk. I guess Im just now seeing it kinda made sense not as mystery but same time it kinda is.

Not much different in the clones from those two runs. The third time it was very high quality but too clustered it molded but even after success with clustered tops its too nerve racking. It may keep happening till I just get used to it and grow juicy tops again that tested 20% yield.

Ok so that round was 12.75% total rosins so if I yielded even 17% I would of lost 35gs to 40gs flower rosin that would of not came out in dry sift. Ok so back to thinking wtf is going on. Well we will see moving forward. I just wouldnt know if I dont use my trimmer anymore how much I would of lost. Just have to base it off the last two harvest before this one.

I know it wasnt no 12.5% yielder that time. Had to of always beem much higher than dry sift never returned back.

Speed dry 35rh until brittle then dry sift. Should be ready in 4-5 days.

20% return on this eighth. Its another clone thats ready to press a couple oz. Watermelon ultra.
