concealing my deck for outdoor growing?

wow props to you, your plants look amazing. i checked out your post earlier too on your 2010 outdoor grow. very impressive. have you always been an outdoor grower or do you grow indoors too? this is my first grow here so i thought id go natural and do it outdoors. but yeah with some other plants and some patio furniture it should work out nicely.
 
Yep I forgot about Morning Glories. Cheap and effective. Also Ornamental Sweet Potato Vine and ton's of other stuff. Don't get me wrong. I love the rewards at the end of my cannabis grows but I like goofing around with all kinds of plants. Need to go out and cut off more broccoli right now to keep it producing but I am pretty lazy after sampling some of my well-cured GHS "Cheese" from last season.
 
yes the best disguise are other plants. get donations, go dig up wild ones but get plants. then when ur mary gets rail high start training them horizontal, plants wont be seen and ull get fat buds. so are grand total here is $0. if u get serious buds GET A DOG!!!!! u dont wnat anyone runnin off with ur soon to be harvest.

I get the feeling this is a first time outdoor grower who has no idea of how strong the smell from 4-5 mature plants is going to be and how far that smell will travel with even a slight breeze. With both residents working full-time in a metropolitan neighborhood, I'll be surprised if the rippers miss that scenario. They'll be drawing straws to see who gets it.
 
You could always run some low odor strains. Ive seen big plants with no odor and on the other hand I've seen small short season 2 footers that will smell from 30 feet away.

and that is why veggie gardener is the man.....knows whats up. yesah bro go with a tomato plant, some morning glorys, alltho from experience put them in 3 gallon or better buckets /pots....im growing hyacinth bean for the first time and it grows quicker then MGs. Be careful with 4 or 5 plants tho. that is alot for a confined area with some traffic.....i mean my hood is cool everybody knows i smoke and my northly neighbors smell my one plant but their liberal.....5 plants will take alot of space up on the porch....If ur gonna do it u WILL HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO LST OR TOPP. so start researching that if u havent. seriously......:)
 
just have several different kinds of plants on the deck. many. if your doing 5 plants have 20 plants total. 15 being differnt kinds, like tomato, morning glory, maybe some herbs and stuff, find some good tall plants the the leaves resemble MJ. a jap red maple would be cool

I did some indoor grows in the distant past.

When I put up my greenhouses about six years ago, I started doing my winter stuff in them, with supplemental lighting and heat.

The bulk of my experience is outdoors. I grew vegetables for over two decades before our situation allowed me to add Cannabis to the lineup.
 
If you want to do something cheap and easy to remove and mildly appealing or interesting why not take some landscape fabric in the outdoor isles of lowes or home d and staple gun it to the railings. It lets no image thru but lets water thru. Unconventional use but I think it will look good. Plus no damage to that nice ass deck. Or for a cooler look do multiple lenghts of burlap over each other and after like two or three you cant see thru it but lets light thru too a little. Plus intersting. Kinda cool. I use it like a curtain on my patio and looks good. They sells rolls for 8 bucks at lowes outside next to landscape fabric.
