Yep, because that kid was with the friend earlier in the day and they robbed someone. The cop was there to "talk" to the youths and when they turned around to see who was yelling at them, the kid HOLDING the gun was shot.

The kids were both out jacking folks, and produced a weapon when confronted by Police - the survivor is guilty of the crimes that preceded the confrontation and in turn caused the death.
Pretty simple - he gets to pay the price for the crimes he and his dead friend committed, as it should be.

It would be if they committed murder. That is like saying you get raided for growing pot and they kill your friend during the raid then charge you with his murder, it is ridiculous.
Sorry, but it hasn't been proven that they did anything at all. You see the word ALLEGED means someone says you did it, but that fact has not been proven to be true. I know its hard to believe that someone could possibly be innocent and fuck everyone's rights to life and liberty right? Hard to be objective isn't it?

Where does it say they are running away from a crime? It doesn't, if you learned to read without bias you would perhaps see the error of your statement. For all you know they had just left their parents house with a BB Gun and happened to fit the description when the policewoman happened upon them.

honestly i agree have the time with cops... but this is absolutely ridiculous. the kid didnt even have a gun or any intentions to kill his friend. yet hes charged with murder? i say fukem lock them up, but at the same time this just sounds like an unjust law...

and that is what we have to go on, so far. i'm sure more info will be released, but for now, these are the facts we have to reconcile.
like i said, i am not a cop hater, i agree with what many may see as 'excessive force' more often than most on this site, but i just have to shake my head at this one.
like i've said before, any defense lawyer worth his weight in salt should ask the prosecution to show the jury the murder weapon. that should leave an impression.
