Light is light, PAR is PAR.

All about the cooling and the reflector. But, it is a straight drop in replacement and the same color as my 250w CFL and certainly twice as efficient, at least, at any temperature.

And after 1 year, the replacement for CFL is $100 so the Corn cob will pay for itself.

You could buy a single vero 29 and drive it at 2.1 amp and get the same amount of light for about the same price depending on the heatsink.

For the price I think it would be better to just buy rigid SMD LED strips. Then you don't have to deal with reflector losses. You can buy a lot of 5630's for the same money.

Yes, and this just screws into a mogul base.

... and smd strips plug into a wall. I'd rather have the extra scratch in my pocket then pay a hefty convenience fee. YMMV.
