You may be correct about the senate, but when has the senate had any connections with reality?

I mean, the senate gave us the clowns that ran in this election.

One, who was uh, uh, supposed to, be uh, eloquent, and uh, well spoken, and the other that is a hypocrite.

So, yeah, maybe the Senate didn't vote for the bail out until there was pork in it, but that was both sides of the senate.

As for the House, well obviously, since the Republicans still opposed it for the most part, you're partial truth doesn't hold water, about the Republicans wanting pork in it.

Only some Republicans, and only some Democrats wanted Pork in it.

Though we can only imagine that the reason why the Democrats didn't need any reason to support it is because they already received the "contributions" from the Financial Sector that they wanted.

Republicans out of touch? No more so than the Democrats.

Bush proposed that piece of tripe called a bail out, McCain put his Campaign on hold to lobby other republicans to vote for it. You and I already knew that the Democrats would vote for it, the the majority of republicans in both houses voted for it AFTER the Senate REPUBLICANS put pork in it like Subsidies for NASCAR track owners.... In Case you haven't noticed the overwhelming majority of NASCAR tracks are in Southern Republican States. How about the Subsidy for the manufacturers of Wooden Arrows? Most far left Liberals are opposed to hunting.

actually the rebate check only went to people who pay taxes, so its a refund of your money

kind of like a retroactive tax cut. Obama will send checks to people who dont even pay income taxes, hence its called welfare, wich is fine just call it what it is, if thats what america whats they should get it. majority rules

that's not a true statement...my mom hasn't paid federal income tax in years. she doesn't even file because she only has social security and doesn't have to file. she filed this year so she could get the rebate check....

Well, me and my hubby HAVE paid taxes and we haven't gotten a red cent.

Course, we didn't get any money when supposedly everyone with a kid got $300 when Bush first took office either. It's a conspiracy, ya know.

Dank, perhaps you are neglecting the small fact that of with the high confiscatory taxes our leaders don't need control of our corporations, and why would they want to bother when they can enslave the entire country with out the country realizing it?

Just what taxes are you talking about?
Corporations have been using loopholes for years to avoid paying their share of the tax burden.
Hell if they would just close the loopholes and not even raise the taxes our National debt would be paid off in no time.
One thing you just don't understand about trickle down economics is that the only trickling that will happen is that the top one percent are pissing on the little guys.

Even with the Democrats gaining power we are not going to slide into socialism like you guys think. Really it's starting to sound like chicken little running around yelling the sky is falling.

Let's face it, McCain was going to do just as Bush was tax wise, remember that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
