I place a 900 dollar order and cant even get a reply to an email. I'll be taking the next 250 piece order else where. Worst communication on the planet.
Did you receive them yet? What was the quality of construction like ?I place a 900 dollar order and cant even get a reply to an email. I'll be taking the next 250 piece order else where. Worst communication on the planet.
Nope. It took me a week to even get an email back to make the order. Then I had to email him 4 or 5 times just to get an invoice sent so I could make the payment. And like always as soon as he sent it I paid it immediately. And now I havent heard from at all. I asked for an estimated shipping date. And all I heard was crickets. I only ordered last Thursday. But when spending 900 bucks and then needing to place a 250 piece order. I think if it was my company I'd keep in touch to the people who spend money. But more than likely my first purchase through cutter will b my only purchase.Did you receive them yet? What was the quality of construction like ?
I've tried to order through Steve's LEDS several time with no avail. So many times actually that I gave up even trying to order from his site. Either the site is down or no stock. Or just complete glitches on the site making it impossible to place an order. If the board is exposed it will help alot with the heat dissipation, I think Steves LED's have a good heatsink for this board, that heatsink with some air blowing around it will definitely do the job
Where are the price breaks old bean?Any body tried these yet? https://www.cutter.com.au/product/ssk-1560-3590cr/?attribute_pa_led-colour=3500-kelvin&attribute_pa_thermal-tape-length=no-tape&attribute_pa_cri-colour=90-cri
At £5 a strip in bulk its less than half that of a Hinflux L06.
How accurate is this? Is that at board level at what TC ?

All seems a bit too good to be true with them numbers. @welight
I got a good deal buying 100. I dont wanna throw the price out there bc idk if he gives everyone the same prices. But in my opinion the price break for 100 ordering through email is very good. Worth the non communication I guess. But I have people wanting their lights built n shipped. And ask an estimated time frame. And I have to answer idk bc where I ordered the strips has zero communication. Doesnt make it look good on me. But I mean what else am I suppose to say. I dont lie to customers.Where are the price breaks old bean?
I tried adding 100 to cart to see what the price would be but still showing full price.
Dont wanna dish on anyone here. But I do think Mark/Cutter could get more business being a bit more proactive when it comes to communication. It defo seems like they could have a dedicated member of staff doing mails and such cause it seems like theyre fairly busy. I had a fair bit of luck with Ben getting back to me.@Rocket Soul did you get shit for communication? How long did it take to get your strips?
Not much still freezes up.Very good work! The new website is worlds better.
These higher powered chips are going to be more and more common for horticulture, first reason is bang for buck, they work out cheaper but have around 8X more grunt than a standard mid power, they also save time in production as it's one chip instead of 8 to place, efficiency isn't as high as something like a nichia 3030 but they are really versatile due to the forward voltage and small form factor. All major companies are using chips like this where they used to use a standard 3w chip like a cree xpe as they are more efficient and cheaper to purchase."that was a supple hint for you to check what the power usage of these chips is. which would have been self explanatory."
i would have prefered the answer bro...and i had no idea what what being talked about when i saw 400w
Hi Y2turbine
"On the product page, under the green box there is a 4 picture slideshow. There is a voltage, current, power slide. It states that the strip will operate @ up to 50W with no heatsinking.
Technically It is a 600W max strip. I think these can be run at up to 300W with a fan cooled heatsink and long as thermal grease is used."
>thanks
so it could be run up to 600w but only 50w without cooling..ok 200w and fan cooling sounds good..for 80$ canadian plus shipping
at any rate..its an interesting move to higher wattage chips
After reading randomblames more recent posts I have been questioning 80CRI as a whole though. Did you go with any of their 90+CRI chips?I place a 900 dollar order and cant even get a reply to an email. I'll be taking the next 250 piece order else where. Worst communication on the planet.
So you dont have what I ordered in stock? Even though it showed in stock. I dont understand why you would be contacting a factory. If your website says in stock that means you have possession of said parts. I'm on day 8 and still no shipping. You are really putting me in a hard bind. I have customers wanting their stuff. Shouldnt take 8 days to ship out if it's in stock. And now tomorrow is friday. They wont ship out. DHL doesnt ship on Saturday or sundays. So im lookn at minimum 12 days before any shipping. And you still have thermal tape to apply. And another 2 weeks for shipping to the states. I think I need a refund. And I'll go else where. This is unacceptable. I expected better. Shouldnt take a month to get my strips. I couldve ordered them straight from the manufacturer quicker. I am extremely disappointed.Guys
I am sorry if your not getting emails from me in a timely fashion. Im currently travelling so have some time lag issues discussing orders with factory. We are also under the pump a bit with backorders at present but trying to get all orders out in a timely fashion. We appreciate your support. Im happy to be called out and wont not respond to any form of communications, even if its not immediate
Cheers
Mark
I'm more than likely going to send a refund request to PayPal. I didnt get any emails for days. Then one saying I'm traveling. I'll get you shipping info tomorrow. Which was 3 days ago. Apparently he doesnt even have the parts I ordered. I am very very very agitated. Its gonna be 25 days to ship parts that were suppose to be in stock. After reading randomblames more recent posts I have been questioning 80CRI as a whole though. Those strips should already be made. If not they shouldn't be listed as stocked. Or atleast post on the site that shit has to be made. No where does it say anything about strips have to be made before shipping.I can only imagine how all these custom orders with made to order LED strips is impacting their workflow. BML used to have a customizable led bar you could customize with any colors available at the time. That has been discontinued and there was no alternative until Cutter started doing it besides China.

Yeah recently. I tried ordering a few days agoDamn that’s crazy. Recently?
Iv ordered twice the past two months and it worked perfectly.
I need to add more information on our web site as it really does not explain our strip process. The board stock qty refers to the all the parts I have in stock to assemble the boards or put another way, i can build the qty on line but it does not immediately ship as they have to be assembled. We have an SMD production, we take raw parts and assemble into boards, we do this as this keeps our costs down rather than building hundreds of boards that may be entirely wrong killing our liquidity. I will modify our site to explain this so there is no ambiguityI'm more than likely going to send a refund request to PayPal. I didnt get any emails for days. Then one saying I'm traveling.
