I'd like to see how you vent these guys. I have a basement i wanna put some 1000 watters in. Im wanting to maintain mid 70's temps. look forward to see your progress!
chas, I'm going to line up the lights with my AC register in two rows spaced evenly over the room so that I can put 4x4 flood tables in 2x2 rows. then I'm going to put a fan pulling air from the register into the ducts. then I'm going to put a wye (1 into 2) sending the air down each of the two rows. then duct to the 2nd set of lights. then duct into a wye (2 into 1) and then a 2nd fan pulling air out the window. right now with one light my temps range from about 65 off to 75 on. with two lights on and just fans/ac, it easily gets to 80. with four 1000w lights on, I think I will definitely need a window AC unit to augment my home ac. being downstairs under an over hanging deck really helps keep the sun out too. I have a lot of stuff to buy so the trimeter and the ducting is the next step. somewhere in there I will put a carbon filter. then I will take pics for you.

A few of those shots look much better.

Are you limiting your floods to 15 min and spacing them out throughout your light period? And the bubbler seems to be helping a little maybe?

Your roots are starting to make their way into that pellet bed. They're starting to absorb nutrient so they're bouncing back, but don't leave any root exposed to light. Hope that shot was just for demonstration purposes. As the roots increase in mass, so will their demand. Think about increasing frequency of fifteen minute floods as root mass increases. You want to keep those rocks moist right underneath the top layer that dries in the light.

Edit:
And big momma there is already close to the light and they can triple in height in flower. You're gonna have to bend that girl at some point. Can you raise your light at all?

yeah I gently teased the pebbles away from the rockwool block to investigate. I snapped a pic and rolled them back on. I raise the light about an inch per day for that little bitch. it's on a chain so I just hook the next link. I don't know anything about bending/scrogging so I'm just letting the bitch go wild. I'm curious to see what nature does before I start manipulating it. make sense? flooding 15 on/ 15 off. I think it's working because the rockwool cubes are not as heavy and the plants are growing and getting darker green. maybe that drain period really does suck air into/water out of the rockwool... who knows. the bubbler is great. that could be another reason for the greener leaves. thanks again. right now I'm focused on that trimeter and setting my room up differently so I can really optimize the operation. if only I could find some square pots..... rrrr :)

what did sud say he spent? he spent like 10K I thought....
I don't recall exactly, but his setup wasn't cheap.

That's great! Most definitely, the pulling of the drain is key. And since you're doing it often, they are responding and the roots should be staying moist but not too wet. The bubbler is a nice little accent, but it's the drain mostly.

Yeah, and you've been keeping the roots buried. Good work.

hmmm....
did u veg under floros....????
It really helps to keep the ogs short and squat....
Your leaves look kinda small.... well some ....but for the most part they look good...and the leaes have a very og serated kinda leaf... .. i always worry about big fan leaves before i go into flower....
Really helps with yield.....
Ps...were did u get your skywalker cut?

i only have two 1000w HPS. I would like to add fluoros next grow. what is the deal with big fan leaves going into flower on the skywalker OGs? since I added lordjin's bubblers and started using filtered water, my plants are greener in the new growth. I raised my ppms on the nutes to about 950ppm according to the bottle. looking to flip to flower. any suggestions on nutes to use for this phase? I have two Diablos, one Bubb a Kush and 7 Skywalker OGs. The rest runted themselves out. I got my skywalkers and Diablos at SOHO in the valley. Joaquin was very helpful.... so I heard you and Jin had a 'date'....

so here are the latest shots of my grow. the mutant plant wit its skinny leaves and chlorosis is finally putting out normal, green leaves so I must have tweaked my grow in the right direction. THANKS TO JIN MOSTLY.... ;)

THE BIG MOMMA in the middle just let me bend her branches down and they are staying down all by themselves so far.

enjoy..021.jpg017.jpg012.jpg010.jpg026.jpg015.jpg024.jpg019.jpg027.jpg025.jpg009.jpg

Are the close-ups with your hand in them from the big plant? Those leaves look like they're doing much better.

I'm a little concerned that those severely yellowed smaller ones won't catch up to the big one since they are only now starting to show signs of better growth.

But keep with them. There are def promising signs in that new green growth.

When growing any plant og or not...
I always want a nice bushy cannopy with fat leaves....(even staivas will make long big leaves)
Just for the fact i know once i switch ...the plants energy will be mostly focased on bud developmeant .....
If i dont have many leaves on my plants, (especially sunleaves) or its not rooting ....i tend not to flip it.. (would be a waste of space)
Even if its to tall already .... ill topp it and focus on new growth....
Once i have the right amount of leaves ill know thet it will yield....
Then bam switched......
Big healthy leaves equal nice healthy buds.....
forget all the nute non sence.... Leaves, Roots, air, light , are just as important.....
I grew skywalker ... and its a lanky bastard..no doubt... and doesnt prduce many fan leaves....... So u really have to dial her in veg ...in order to yield big.....
If not youll end up with an ounce off a 4footer...it happened to me with skywalker...
But that was long ago....

A date ??? no i dont do dates....lol:lol:
