You can buy a cheaper driver but it will be less efficient and less reliable. Both issues cost money, so how would it be saving you anything? Seems counterproductive in the face of the design goals of efficient and long lasting performance, especially when the money saved amounts to only a few dollars.Cobkits is out-stocking the original sellers of QBs. Here's a great business plan; offer a product for sale then constantly be out of stock. And btw, if anyone was smart they'd have some drivers manufactured which work as well as Meanwells but are cheaper. How hard could that be? How elaborate would a driver need to be to produce light for plant growth rather than human eyes? My guess, not very. We've got everybody making LEDs but nobody making the drivers which cost as much or more.
Why are you complaining about @CobKits having them in stock? You wanna buy some boards? Buy them! The things people find to complain about these days...
