Yes but I need to look it up again. I wasn't attempting to be an ass either. You just here lots of stuff on here without any real evidence. Each time someone on here states x,y,z I immediatly search the web for data to either prove or disprove it.
Most of this stuff is higher and more complex hence the ease to quote threads but not agree with.

Noobs jump in with it before learning to grow for a few years and before long you have a list of bs you cant seperate from reality.

No new growers should use loupes till

a) They can grow pretty perfect olants

and

b) Have learnt to harvest of the pistils and calyxs first.

The need to run before you can walk is too great for noobs, trichs pistils and calyxs only follow the standard cycle on real healthy plants, noob grows often have issues which make these signs not occur or occur at wrong points.

Theres a lot to this sunbject that would be called learning and then theres a whole host of growers running round with loupes thinking they no dick.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to harvest the Green Crack tomorrow, and give the others a little longer. So far I'm thinking the Pura Vida will be the next one.
How are you drying? I hang two weeks till real dry then jar. After a week it smokes after two its smooth and a lot stronger. Jarring adds like a little extra but not a great deal :-)

I plan to dry in my closet I cleared out with a humidifier set at 50%. This is my first real harvest. I started up everything on Sept. 1st, so I've only had a few months learning all this stuff. I plan to hang the big stuff on coat hangers, and put all the little stuff in a fabric rack.

I would go with 60% humidity so you slow it down a little. To fast is not good for flavor and thc crystals. I did 60% and 75 degrees and was done drying in about 10 days and that was in my garage. I'm new though and as kinggrow1 might say, I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

Then I cure in an air tight container for 30 days and shot for a bit higher humidity of 60%.

My dry closet is going to be at around 65 degrees, and 68 is the max it would ever get, but usually low 60s, so do you still think 60% RH?

Try to ignore humidity and just have some air exchange, the final moisture content is important but you should aim for very dry and dismiss all other info.

Keep it simple but you need to experiment here personally and with lots of bud thats not hard and pretty fun.

I'm in CO, RH now is 30% in my room, which is why I'm planning to use a humidifier to slow down the drying process. I almost cut down the Green Crack today, but after looking at a few more trich pics I can see that there is still a decent amount of clear on most of the buds. Some of the amber in my pics could be from me pressing the scope on em earlier checking them. I don't know, but I'm gonna just keep checking them. I'm noticing the other signs now too, pistils shrinking, calyxes swelling as they get closer, and am trying to watch trichs as the process proceeds so I can learn more for next time. Their clones are vegging now and will go in the closet after I harvest, so after I dry, cure, and test this batch, I will know more of when I want to harvest the next batch. I'm just happy that I've got this far with limited issues. Hopefully I don't screw it up now.

30% is kind of low for drying.

Found this bit of info for help with drying in lower humidity situations.

If the humidity in the room is 30% – 40% you will not want very much air circulation in the room since this will cause the buds to dry out very fast. Depending on the climate in your area that you are growing and drying it you may need to use humidifiers, dehumidifiers, heaters or air conditioners.

According to Ed Rosenthal- A small room or a closet is likely to have the right temperature for drying. If not, adjust the conditions by opening or closing the door and using a fan. For more control, use a heater, air conditioner, humidifier, or dehumidifier as needed.

Ok, so last night I harvested the Green Crack and one of the Ghost of LeeRoy's. Tomorrow I'm gonna harvest one of the Pura Vida's, and check the trichs on the Tahoe Alien's. My drying closet is staying around 67F, and 45-50%rh with the humidifier set at 50% with the closet door barely cracked open for air flow. I also have a small fan barely blowing sitting on the humidifier to continuously circulate air around the closet. Hopefully everything goes smooth. Thanks everybody, I'll keep posting updates.

i'm not trying to be a dick or piss in anyone's cheerios, but not a single one of those looks ready to me.....i see a ton of clears in each picture...not very many cloudy, and practically no amber....they all look like they have at least another week to go, maybe two..i think most of what you're seeing as cloudy is just reflecting light back at you, look from a slightly different angle

I know there are quite a few clear trichs still. I am harvesting some now, and some later, that way I will now how I want em next time. My wife likes more the energetic high than couchlock, so I would rather pick a few early, than all too late. Thanks though Roger.

Ive never understood adding moisture to drying areas but a new gen of growers do the daftest things.

Were dealing with plant cells that encapsulate water, humidity dosent affect them that much but let us know how it goes :-)
