one more before bed. here is my new little buddy, he is not mine but I just baby sat him for 40 days. he snorts like a pig, squeaks when he tries to bark and just got his big boy teeth. my dog likes to grab the fat on the back of his neck and try to drag him around

it's really funny to watch

Looks like you are using smart/fabric pots?
If yes, you don't have to remove the plant when transplanting; you can just drop the plant & fabric pot into the new container.
I run in 2 gal smart pots, then drop that into a 7-gal pot for flowering. The roots will grow through the first pot & into the second.

But the cleaning the pots after harvest & recycling of the soil is a bitch ...

the strains are 4x 8 ball kush from barney's and 2x Nepalese hybrids. the Nepalese were freebies from hemp depot and I bought the 8 ball kush partly because it said it was a good beginner strain and since I mangled my first indoor try I thought i needed something they say is easy to grow. also it said Afghani x Pakistani and I was used to growing Afghanis and similar plants outdoors and also like the buzz from them. they take care of my anxiety well and help me sleep. 4 out of 5 8b kush fem seed sprouted and 4 of 4 Nepalese sprouted. all four Nepalese ended being females from reg seed. as they filled out the space I culled two that were my least favs. they have vegged for 35 days under t-5s for a couple weeks then 600 watt MH for the rest of veg. and not have been under 12/12 for 12 days.

Lookin nice dopey! You could be a touch heavy on Nitrogen though. You're getting a little clawing on your fan leaves and that sometimes indicates that there is a smidge too much N in your mix. It's really strain dependent. I get that sometimes on my sativa leaning plants as they don't seem to require as much N as the Indicas do. Just something to think about.

yea the clawing is on the two nepali hybrids mostly. I almost thought it was due to not enough ventilation, I have a 6" 435 cfm fan pulling air through a carbon filter but I was running it really low since the temps would get down low as my temps outside the tent have been steady 50-51f. keeping it on higher made my tent temps hover around 64-68f with the lights on. I finally got a propane heater only thee days ago and sice have been running the exhaust fan enough to have some negative air pressure now.

I hope that was the issue but am glad you mentioned nitrogen as I had not thought of that. when they were seedlings my soil mix was to hot from the start and all had minor burns on the leaves but has gone away now. since they are in 12/12 wont be giving any nitrogen besides what is in the casting teas, maybe I should lay off all the tea even for a week or so? thanks for pointing that out as I had not known nitrogen could cause it.

that is a good idea as well and one I had not thought of. I did not know if the roots would fully go through into another medium and container thank you for the heads up.

DonPetro- thank you! I have always known organic to be what I like, for years now I have been doing the bottle fed organic method. using fish emulsion, some fox farm stuff, and earth juice. since coming to roll it up you guys on here have been showing me methods that are definitely better. also I used things I thought was organic like general organics.

JesterDev- I glad you came over to the thread, yea this will be my first time with smart pots. already I like them but will move to 5 gals next time and grow 2 less. I'm still figuring out a lot about growing inside. and how to make it happen when I started the indoor I thought I knew it all, hang a bright lamp, toss some plants under it, some nutes poured on ( more usually better) and 3 months later I should have some dank right? I even read some good books so I knew it would be breeze. that didn't work out so well. growing in pots and without natural sun and ventilation is much harder. especially how sensitive they seem to be compared to outdoors in the ground. outside I had always panted in the ground or a raised bed. they are more forgiving in that type of environment.

dogs are great for sure. I wish the bulldog as mine, he is really a cool little guy. he is about 4 months old and still getting bigger. I just got done puppysitting for a little over a month and he thinks he is mine. I watch a buddies dogs when he goes away.

you have some nice looking doggies there as well. looks like a German Shepard, a grey hound? and a Lassie type dog? I bet they are a lot of fun. I can only imagine 3 bigg dogs going crazy after leaving them home for the day. mine goes crazy when I get home.

here is couple pics of my own dog. he will be 2 in a few months and still acts like a puppy he also is turning out to be a good little hunter whether I like it or not. from mice to moles, woodchucks, rabbits, a chipmunk, a muskrat, turtles (which he does not kill only brings them to me) and even got a full size wild turkey. I worry he my get hurt and also i like animals but he is in his glory when out in the woods. last spring he put a small black bear in a tree. the bear was young but larger than my dog by double, I almost crapped myself and had to physically grab him from under the tree to get out of there. he now listens to me better as he is an adult, kinda.

I see the time on the camera says 2012, July. I only got him in late august of 2012 so the time is off.

hey dopey thats some beautiful country you got there retreivers will often bring you live animals the skinnier dog is a border collie & the lassie is an australian shepherd cattle/sheep dogs are fairly common here in cen-cal & make good family dogs i have 1/2 acre but am on outskirts of town making dogs neccessary to keep an eye on things my grow is rolling right along & theyre making their way through the screen training is about to start gonna have to try organics myself one day

twostrokenut- thanks! I hope it works fine, I can't find molasses that says blackstrap in the local stores.

I screwed things up I think yesterday/today. daylight savings time put the clocks forward an hour, so I set my light timer to the on position while i reset the clock. well after I adjusted it I worked on my plants some and left without setting the timer back to auto position which would cycle it 12/12 so it stayed on for the last 24hrs. they would have been on 14 days 12/12 today and have just started to show some hairs. my heart sank when I realized i had done this. dumb move, I need to double check things when i adjust them.

so do you guys think I have set my plants back those two weeks? my guess is only time will tell but thought I would ask.

Stable strains? Mine would not care....I give them hell but I can't make them herm if I tried though.

As for that black strap have you tried feed stores and all the hardware/farmers exchange/ag type establishments?
Just found one that sells by the gallon-bring your own jug...$2 per gallon, score!

I don't know how stable they are just a cheap barney's strain- 8 ball kush, and the others were free marked nepali hybrids. dang I didn't even give hermies a thought until you just said that. I was thinking the worst being I set them back but your right herming out would be terrible.

$2 bucks is a score, I paid $2.49 for that stuff and it's not even a pint

ahh lots of mistakes i will not do again.

edit- i have only tried the grocery stores in town and in a country town at that. this coming weekend I will make it to the city I was going to try a big heath food store. i like the feed store idea if they sell it there it would be cheaper. after using this grandma's stuff a bit the plants seem happy. also I have been brewing teas with it, they do get good and frothy but honestly I don't know what I am doing yet.

No biggie gotta watch Fem seeds for nanners anyways in my experience....try them feed stores/ag stores if there's any ya never know, I'm a cheap ass....even grandmas is going to be too expensive in the long haul for me.

You will find molasses at the health food store. Just make sure its unsulphured.

it's been a full day since I left my light on, no change in anything yet. they are on day 15 counting the one I left the lights on and only small hairs showing so far. was going to take a pic or two but my camera shut down before I hauled them out, battery ran out of power. I did get a few shots of the plants I have vegging.

the first seedlings are freebie autos, pineapple express auto and berry ryder. the PE is the taller of the two. both were panted on the 23rd of last month. the other two plants are the same, I took them from a plant I grew on my first try inside. it was just a bag seed that came out of a bag I really liked called green crack. stupid name for marijuana but I liked this plant. I screwed it up something horrible my first try so i took two cuttings off it while in flower. they were 5-6" sticks with a bud on them for over a month before they showed new growth. they have recovered and tonight I bent all the branches over and tied them to the pot.

they are all in one half new ffof and one half recycled ffof. fed only water and molasses so far.
