It was real good. I so want to do one.Hell Yeah we cooked a pig! It was about 75#....I think it turned out great. Hope to roast another one this year.....
How long did it take them to cook that 200lb pig, on the TV show? We put this one on at about 8:00 in the morning & ate about 2:00 in the afternoon....Hell yeah man this shows got me all excited haha, we need to do a April outdoor season start up BBQ haha jk
I look forward to getting out to the end of the year BBQ this year for sure,
It's my variation of a Cuban pig roaster.......There's only 3 components. All from Home Depot.Hell yeah man that's cool and did u just figure out how to make that set up on the Internet somewhere
with the racks and cinderblocks?
Stay away from Galvanized metal....plan steel or stainless only.......don't cook with galvanized.....good luck.....Cool man that's sick seems easy and cheap to build and my cousin welds shit so I could probley get him to do the welding
thanks.
IDK, the pit is 2 blocks wide. This was the first time we ever tried cooking potatoes & corn also. We waited a couple of hrs before we put them in. If we had put them in when we put the pig on, everything would be finished at the same time....You need a rack/shelf for yours to do them taters en corn, how big would it have to be?
I gave this a little more thought and I've figured out an easy way to add a rack. If we offset some of the cinder blocks to the inside, just enough to create a little shelf, I'll cut a few more pieces of rebar to lay across. We can put the potatoes & corn into a large alum turkey pans and set them up on the rebar. All we need is a few pieces of rebar........I think I have some in the garage....You need a rack/shelf for yours to do them taters en corn, how big would it have to be?
I could put notches in the bricks with a grinder and special grinding wheel I happen to have. I need 4 amps to run the grinder.I gave this a little more thought and I've figured out an easy way to add a rack.
