Hey everybody,
I decided to post a continuous thread in the grow journal section so we can all learn from my journeys through gardening. feel free to post commentary but let's please keep it civil and pertinent, thanks!
The new grow that's ramping up is a clusterfuck tent grow thats gonna be 12/12 from seed. been reading up on del66666's thread and this is gonna be a good way for me to go since it's too hot to get my shit going in the attic and 11-12 weeks should be perfect timing for that to cool down. I've got 7 headband seeds in a veg chamber under some leds and cfls; they're in a 50:50 mix of perlite and FFOF--actually if we're gonna be accurate, I've got a way of starting seedlings that works well for me but few people take the time to do: get a 18oz solo cup and burn a hole about a 1/4 the way up the side to make it into a mini-hempy bucket; fill past the hole with straight perlite; from the hole to almost the top fill with a 50/50 mix of perlite and FoxFarm ocean forest; add a top layer (1/4-1/2 inch) of straight FFOF. plant your germ'd seed in the center and throw her under a cfl or two.
So these gals (hopeful) will be under some weak light until they break the surface and then its in to the tent where they will be under some HO T5s (one fluorogrow evergreen and one quantum badboy, both 4'x4 tube). Since I'm strapped for cash right now they're only gonna get flora suns and 3000K in even mix. once they're big enough I'll get 'em into 1 gallon final homes (not sure if they'll still be hempys by then). I try to keep things organic so my nute lineup is earth juice with homemade compost teas, and I'll keep 'em in the FFOF with a wee bit of dolomite if its needed and some added perlite to help drainage.

Primary Light: 432w HO T5-PAR (ish) style:: lamps: stock 3000K + ZM Flora sun in 50/50 mix.
Fixtures: 1) Fluorogrow Evergreen 4'x4 bulb, 1) Quantum Badboy 4'x4 bulb
Supplemental Light-if needed: Chinese UFO LED, CFL
Medium: Soil, FFOF+ necessary amend. (dolomite, perlite)
Nutes: Earth Juice basics (grow+bloom) + Molasses 1 tsp/gal
Temps: TBD (within range)
Humidity: TBD (within range)
genetics: seeds from a headband plant who stressed out and hermied horribly
12/12 from seed

Now, for the perceptive bunch of you who figured out that my lights are about 12 inches longer than my tent, they will be arranged to fit--it'll be fine i promise--i worked it all out with trigonometry.
