Thanks Heisenberg And Hellraiser.I Already Knew About Great White(Very Expensive). Was Looking For A Cheaper Product. So If My ZHO Doesnt Come In Tomorrow I Wil Get The Great White

Just a quick question.. it would be much easier for me to oxygenate my water via fountain pump...

what i have going right now, is the brew, with the EWC in a sock, a small 35gph water pump stuck to the side of my bucket, pulling water up, and shooting it across my bucket, and into the sock.

the 1/2" jet of water from the pump, is also touching the water all the way across the bucket, but 85% of it is above water. soon as the water hits the sock, i see bubbles, and everything is pretty turbulent..

does this sound like i should be getting enough oxygen into my tea? or am i simply wasting my time.. im unsure as to how much air these bennies acutally require.

maybe i would be better off dumping the EWC right into the water, and letting the pump shoot into the air and have it fall back in like a normal fountain pump?

PS, its been a week since first introducing the tea(which i originally brewed with airstones) and im now seeing new roots, no feeder hairs yet, but new roots, white as snow. and as i said in a different post... its the first time in 3 weeks, since i'v seen new, white roots. poor girls been suffering since the slime hit, and been getting trampled by sterilizing agents.. but this tea seems to have come out of the gate swinging, and is definatly winning. Heisenberg, you rock.

I had to get the kangaroots because I cant get mycogrow soluble locally and they wanted $30 for zho and another 15.99 foir aquashield and 12 for worm castings. I also cannot find ancient forest in my area but ive found other products by generel organics. the ONLY ewc i was able to locate going to 3 hydro stores and a nursury were Barefoot soil Organic bio earthworm castings. I got kangaroots instead of aquashield and zho becuase the kangaroots was 18.99 and the zho and aquashield together was like 45 dollars I don't have a way to order online at the moment.

im running with just the kangaroots alone at the moment and brita filtered tap water. my tap water was 77 tds before fitler after its 43. Will general hydroponics ph down kill the microbes? my tap water has a ph of 7. no sign of slime yet and im brewing a tea with kangaroots and ewc when its ready im going to change the res and replace it with water and a cup of tea. hopefully things go well

Who was the first to start this thread? When I google the recipe like 10 threads come up. I'm just wondering who the first person to make this recipe was. Did you make the recipe on the front page Heisenberg?

Some people, using bennies, run clone water at 80 to encourage faster rooting.

Gotta pay attention. ;) (apply yourself Jessie)

Gratz on getting cloning down tho. I had trouble as well. But it's one of those things that once you get it, you got it.
Damn! I haven't been reading through the thread as much as I used to, I missed that post. Sorry, Mr. White ;) It would have saved me some grief, though. I never thought I'd get cloning down, but now that I need at least 22 new plants every 3 weeks, there's no way for me to grow from seed any longer. Thanks again, Heis...

Well it was time for a rez change in the rez that got all the slime eaten up by the Tea. And just like the other rez this one got the brown residue on the roots after a day and a half. What is it???? Is it possible its just my floranova??? I did just up the nutes from 2.5ml to 4.5ml a gallon. Anyone seen this that uses floranova? Or is it something else...hopefully these pics will help.

Also it wipes off of the roots fairly easily but leaves them stained brown. And H202 clears it up in about an hour if this info helps someone determine what it is.

I'm thinking this is the bennie bacteria itself. I guess I don't really know though...

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing browning of roots with the tea.

I starteed brewing my first batch Friday so by Sunday 48hrs had passed so I poured a cup into my buckets that have 3 gal or less of water in them.

Yesterday I checked my roots and the parts of the roots that were in the water had this brown junk on them. They were pearly white before so I know it was the tea. There's also particles that escaped through the sock that are in the water. Nothing huge. Just tiny particles. But I think they accumulated on my roots.

mine were white yesterday.. and brown today.. i lightly sprayed them with a mister, and the brown washed off with ease.

im assuming the brown you guys are seeing, and the brown im seeing, is just the tea... and holy crap! the roots are comin in strong now!

i went from a large mass of roots.. then slime hit.. and i lost all of them.. and i mean all of them.. nothing coming out of the bottom of the net pot.. and after running the tea for 10 days now, i have 2 solid 6" roots with tons of feeder hairs, and about 40 other shoots coming out of the pot once again. lookin sexy!

heisenberg, and everyone else who has contributed to this thread.. are gods in my eyes.

yeah, the slime really can hit your plants upside the head. All the dark patches on my roots are almost gone. It was never really "slimy" so to speak, but it was definitely NOT right. New root growth completely shut down. On the road to recovery but I am suffering from what appears to be some pretty major potassium deficiency. Which makes sense, my plants just will not stop growing but they don't have enough root structure to support them. Lowering my PH to keep it in the sweet zone for potassium. Adding a couple cups of tea daily to my 50 gallon system.

Hey all this is my first DWC grow

These roots were white on Sunday and then I used the tea(put 10ml aquashield, 1gal water, 1 handful EWC and an eighth of a scoop of Great White brewed 48hrs) but I guess some EWC must have diffused through the sock cause when I checked on my roots Monday this gunk was on them so I scooped some water out the bucket and tried to pour some over the area to try and wash it off and I noticed a lot of particles in the cup. It hasn't gotten any worse, but i'd like to know if it is EWC or something going wrong.

Nothing was wrong prior, I just wanted to use tea for preventative maintenance instead of using h2o2. The plant is healthy, leaves all upright and really taking off since the roots came out the pot a week ago.

My res is always 60-66 and lately more like 58-62. I clean the buckets during res changes once a week. So should this concern me?

Looks like you have gotten better at growing. I honestly think it's the bacteria just latching onto something. Like Bio Balls in an aquarium do.

Yeah I'm doingg a little bit better. Hopefully this one lives and I can start cloning from it...

That's the fruity chronic juice you wanted to try
