@ rays the only prob with taking plants from soil to water that i can see is the root structure, they will take but will be stunted for abit till the roots adjust to there new enviroment,
roots in soil you can see are very fury looking they grew this way to break down an absord air from the soil where as water roots the hairs are much further apart an they do not have too break down there nutrients there readily available for the uptake,
as said they will grow but will take some time like did yours once you switch start yellowing at the bottom fan leaves reason being they could not uptake nutrients due to the root structure differance so was taking stored nutrients within itself,
you could foilar feed for abit to help combat this though also they might wilt or show other symptons like overwatering etc,but still glad it all worked out ok an the only other prob that could occur as some one said is bacteria in these systems like dwc rdwc they will breed an colonise your root structure like wildfire an once you get slime it is very very hard to erradicate,
most composts multipurpose have some bacteria or fungus nats an other nasties your coco may have been sterile so no bugs transferred to your water culture system these are my opinions anyway as said glad to see it works out ok i just dont like it this way i prefer to start straight away in sterile system an kis,
cannot wait for this thread to proper get underway its gonna be a goodden good job on starting it blu
