Expanding my grow room. Got some ????????

There is a shot of my space. So I built a grow room next to my workbench.The room is 4' wide and sticks out past the workbench a foot. This is my garage and it is w12'xL30'xH8'. So my plan is to remove the workbench and frame a 2"x3" wall staright across. 6' out from the wall. This will still allow my wife to park in the garage. She thinks I will miss my bench. But if u can see in the Pics, it basically has rendered itself useless and become nothing but storage. So my plan was to install a bunch of 2' cabinets on the long wall and new and better shelving on the inside wall.

So the final size of the grow room will be 12x6foot. So remember I only wanna Vegg 4-6 plants and flower 4-6 plants. Right now I own a 600whps+halide, 400whps+halide and a 250w halide. So is this enough lighting. Ther are several diff. scenarios I could use. I could use the 250 for Vegg and the other 2 for flowering. But I think I need a 600 halide strictly for vegging.

What do think. I always need extra room for flowering. So the wall will fold up. Since the room is wide and I dont think at my sixe I would be able to walk through. I am 6'5" 265lbs. Crawling doesnt happen because of my age. Oh by the way, I am an ex-framer 17years and am now a Master Carpenter, so I have the tools and know how. My issue is imagination. I read plans real well, I just dont draw them. Any ways I would use 2x2 studs. Sheet the outside with plywood. And use fireproof 1" foam insulation on the inside inbetween the studs. So the walls will be 8" tall. So at about 4" I will put a support in and build the wall up and down so that it will hinge at both points. Sol when I water I pull the bottom wall up. When i need to adjust lights I pull the top wall down. They will be hinged so I will not have to lift much.

My other question with my light situation what do u think is the best Combo

It all depends on how long you plan to veg/how big you want your plants. If you want the best bang for what you have, use the 400w MH for veg, veg 4 weeks, lst your plants and use the 600 hps for flower. You could even use the 250 for a little extra flower lighting.

I find with a 4 week veg, lst'd my 600 covers 4 plants perfect. 6 would be pushing it, you'd have to rotate your plants around daily or get a mover and you'd be good to go. I've done 6 with one 600 but it's crowded for the light.. The 250w in there might help with that too.

Here's what you get with 4.

I would build it 4ft from the back of the garage then put a door in the middle and have a 4x4 room to the left and a 4x4 room to the right with 4 ft to moove around. I would put a 3 ft high table in each room so you do not have to bend down much put the 600w in the flower side and the 400 for veg. I would use panda film and tarp zippers on each 4x4 room so you have a light break or I guess really you would only need it on the flower side. then I would put a bubble cloner under the veg table with a 23w cfl I would run a cool tube on the 600w sealed off from the room with a seperate exhaust and carbon scrubber. if the veg room were open to the whole 8x4 side of the room heat prolly won't be an issue with just a exhaust fan in there to move the hot air out. I would probably just keep a cycle like start seeds then clone and move to flower then when clones root veg them until flower is done then clone them and put em in flower. figure 2 weeks in the cloner 6 weeks veg maybe topped once like uncle bens technic or a node higher so you can clone off the bottom

so your a scroger. never done that one buti would imagine you couldnt move the plants once they were into the screen so my idea might not work for you... i like when things are on auto pilot and all you need to do it water and feed. ive done hydro and lst sog lolipopin and I still come back to toping once young and letin it fly and do the workby itself I guess you could put the 250 with the 400 and scrog on both sides do a bigger scrog on one the 600 side and a smaller quicker scrog on the other side that way you can harvest a month earlier on the small side or something cause its all about the harvest right. I might even go as far as to put a shelf up high on the outside of the wall with 2x4 made to look like its to support the shelf then have the door open inward between the 2x4s with strong magnets on the end of the door so when you pull it shut it sucks up to the 2x4 because of magnets and noone is the wiser it just looks like a wall with a shelf on it ehh, ehh, ehh. then you push on the middle and magic its a hidden door yay no one knows woo hoo

I have to modify the dimendion. It is 10'w. So I would make the Vegg room 4' and the flower room 6' with a wall in the middle. I am liking my idea of hinged walls. This way if I have to adjust and move lights not a problem. I find it easier to move lights than plants that are fragile and fixed. I think building a 2' platform would be great. Then I could use gravity to drain water from the water trays. I use a vacuum cleaner to drain the water tray.

Actually no that's not a a scrog at all. Nothing but lst.. Sure you can let them go on autopilot and grow natural but you aren't going to yield as well. I could still move those plants around.

I use coat hangers as stakes to stake the branches down. It's not much extra work and the time put in is short compared to the reward for doing it.

Anyways, that's how I would do it, you don't have to lol. I think you'll still want to stick to 4 plant under the 600 alone, 6 if you add in the extra 250.

I don't see anyone here confused what scrog is. auto pilot yea like I said I like to top when young and let em grow so I don't hav to mess with them.... I know thats not what you think lst is do you????? I never mentioned anything about letting them grow natural so right now I am giving you a chance to explain what you mean aaaaaaannnnnnd go.

I miss FDD, what happened to that guy. anywhoo if there is anything else I could help you with let me know. I like the idea of a long grow and a short grow in the 2 diffrnt sides but I guess it could also run on prepetual type schedual where you make 3 rooms out of it with doors opening like the sides of the lunch truck if you know what I mean then rotate lights around..... 3 equal sized rooms start veg under 250wveg up a bit(4wks.) then switch it to a 400w and put the 250 over a new plant to start up then swap the 400 for the 600 the 250 for the 400 then start another under the 250, harvest the 600 swp the 400 for the 600 swap the 250 for the 400 start a new plant under the 250 and on and on and on... I guess 4 weeks under each light right, then harvest your lb. once a month.... if I critisized your grows in any way I am sorry it came accross that way it was not intentional.

Here's some update on that grow room.

U know some people have really hated me. Some people think I am a cop, then again I get along with everyone. Usually people who hate me, hate me because I am outgoing and loud. Well I have been a framer for 25 years so I scream all the time. No one ever says, huh to me! Then ther are the short people who have something to prove. Short people always enjoy a good ass kicking. Well if u dont like someone, ur either the person with the problem or your the dick, it's a hard one to take.

I would get that ballast up off of the floor. water and electricity don't play well together. I don't care how careful you are, eventually you WILL spill something. Just some friendly advise.
