I'm always open to advice! The fan on the floor that oscillates is actually blowing in the same direction as the canopy one, so when lights turn back on I might have a little re-arranging party.hey bro.........maybe u dont want the advice but u should be rockin a fan on the floor in the opposite dirrection of the fan at canopy level........and another at the ceiling same dirrection as the floor
What's the ambient temperature in the room your tent is in?So there is a way to do this without buying a portable ac? I am Runnin low on funds butreally need to get this tent shut and at the right temps.
You are dishing some good stuff here Woody, or so it seems to me.
The "vortex" pattern that you suggest is smart.
I only have one fan in my 5'X5' tent, but my lamp is ducted and
I am near the coast, so I am cool heat-wise.
I kinda lucked into a something similar to what you suggest, and
I thought that I might share the idea, to see if it survives scrutiny. :0)
I positioned my fan against the side of the tent, in the middle of one
of the sides, pointed slightly downward, so that it blows along that side
of the tent.
This makes air swirl down the sides of the tent, and all of the 36 plants
of my SOG get fresh air. Once the rotater broke I had to come up with
a way to avoid just always hitting one area of plants.
It is a full sized room fan, 16" I think, so I have strong airflow.
Onward and upward,

Thanks for looking.
All of the tops move with the air movement that I get now.
I am sure that I will want more air under the canopy as they
get larger....heck, yeah, I am sure that it would be good now.
I tried like hell to get a smaller rotating fan, but only for shitty
little clip-ons...and they run $30.
I will think about how to do this. I have 36 2 gallon smart pots
in that tent....zero floor space left. I hung the one big fan, and so
could hang another, smaller, fan lower down I suppose.
I will likely end up just sitting a small fan on the block tops so
that it blows under the canopy....and will just reposition it at
intervals.
Take care,
JD
Your AC unit reads the temp right at the thermostat, so your AC wouldn't think it's really hot in your house BUT it will have to work really hard to cool down the air it draws in from your tent. An AC unit basically works by taking air from the home, compressing it and blowing the hot air up and out of the unit outside. So i think that i might be able to vent my hot air exhaust into my air conditioners return air intake instead of my room. Good idea or will this make my ac think it's really hot in my house and work too hard?
Well heat rises naturally, so having an exhaust near the floor wouldn't be very efficient at all.So my problems lie in the fact that i vent my hot air out of one of my bottom vents instead of the top ones? Also my grow is in a closet with similar sites to what you are describing so all of the hot air is just vented into the closet which makes the ambient in the closet rise I'm sure while I'm sleeping at night and the closet is shut. I am having a hard time figuring out how to vent the hot air out of the closet without it looking like a big duct laying through the floor in my room and out the door. The only walls i could cut into would be one that would vent into the ac return intake or the attic which covers 3 other apartments. I'm worried about somebody working I'm the attic at some point and discovering my exhaust up there. I am sort of between a rock and a hard place.
