first cab. cfl grow

ok well i finally built my cab it turned out ok itll work out great the only issue i have now would be better ventalation i saw some duct fans that u put in u air ducts those would work perfect other then the fact they are made fora wirebox they have a green wire a black wire and a white wire i believe so i dont think ill be able to use them but if i could find somthing simmular that would be perfect so anywho i think ill have 3 plants in there or if there a smaller plant like a lowrider or somthing like that i could have quite a few im also gonna be adding some cool powerr strips i found that the outlets turn from side to side and use those for side lighting because i was unable to find anyplace that had the y adapters im useing a t adapter which im not a big fan ofbut if thats all you can find what can you do.. you know anywho right now i just got a small fan in there blowing air in frrom the hole in the bottom corrner of the box i put in forr wiring the temp stays around 80 and 32%humidity to keep the humidity up i put some wet napkins in there and every day i put hot water on them so the steam raises the humidity then the humidity usually stays up untill the next day....i just have one plant in there now and id say shes on day 9 (i got my days fucked up due to not marking it on a calander) im using jiffy oganic starrting soil its ph ballanced with lyme i havent checked the ph yet cause i dont have a ph tester but i found some good ones at home depot im gonna pick up this week i havent bought any nutes yet i found some i had in my basement from last year im gonna use and see how that goes im gonna be adding more plants this or next week not sure..so let me know what you think im sure ill prrobly be having some questions down the line so i wouldnt mind some pointers or som things i need to look out forr or what ever ive look all over this site and read alot of shit so it been pretty usefull so far here are some pics

well today is day 12 and shes starting go pick up the pace a bit the temp with the lights on is about 84.5-86.5 and it drops down to 68-69 at night its on a 18/6 right now i got a ph tester the ph is about 6.5 right now i got 2x26 watt 1x23watt 6500 and one 23watt 2700 for stem growth wel here are some pics

nice man good luck for your size box get a couple of computer fans 1 sucking air in other blowing air out might help check my grow out

i think for this size box id need somthing a little bigger then that especially when i get all three of my fixtures going and havin some wall light im thinking a couple 8in fans skrewed into the fram that blow out and having two passive holes in the other side im thinking this would work well

check into a bath room exhaust fan about 20 bucks at home depot suck the air out & you can still put those holes which would pull air in. how bigs your box, mine 5'x3'x 61/2' tall check it out

It looks like you are ready to take off! You've got your seedling looking good and your grow room complete. I see some light leaking out, you will take care of that so that no light gets in through those areas when lights are out, right? Good growing

yeah i was thinking i want a fan i can cut a hole for in the side of the box then skrew it in im not 100% sure tho of what to use or how to go about doing it so it works good but theres only one way to find out....

yeah i know i need to shave down the door and re ajust the hinges it is in a room we dont really use so the lights are pretty much always offbut yeah id feel better if it was all closed and fitting right

Bathroom fan works pretty good mine i think does 50 cubic feet cut a hole and install i used 2 in my green house last summer

what about the wireing????

Looks good. You can go to home depot and buy an "inductor fan" 4" or 6" that would work. I dont know how good you are with wood, but if you added a piece of trim to the inside of the door frame for your doors to press up against you will have a much better light seal. See Pics.

You might also try some rubber (not foam) weather stripping.

hows it going ive been sick the last few days it fucking sucks well today is day16 her name is amanda (hopefully not a man) and who im gonna be planting another plant for her to chill with i am gonna start germing a couple tonight off of some dank fucking shit so we shall see how that goes here are the pics of amanda day 16 i also tooka couple pics a few days ago the only concern i have is the single set leafs are a bit droopy might have waterd a bit to much and i lifted the lights a lil bit so itll start growing a little taller and the stem seems to be hardedning up

i used weather foam strip to help prevent light leaks and it works the balls.. check out my sig

oh and here are pics of the soil im using and was wondering how well these nutes would work? also my ph/furtility meter

foam what do you mean? oh do u mean the weather striping? first i gotta cut the doors a bit more then itll be 100% better

the bathroom fan is pretty easy to wire it only 2 wires so what i did is buy a 6ft cheap cord the ones that the other end you can plug 3 things into it i cut that end off stripped the wires and connected to fan motor comes with directions and put 2 wire nuts on it tape well

oh ok that sounds pretty easy im thinking thats what im gonna do it should work pretty easy how loud is it? hows the smell

they depend homedepot has them set up where you can check them out & see how loud they are i bought the cheapest one does fine in my box and its not very loud at all works great i plan on putting another one in for bringing in fresh air
