day 37/10. All the plants look good today. The aero plants are happily fattening up their buds. I'm seeing a real difference between plants that suffered stress at the beginning of the cycle and those that didn't. The one plant that got seriously light burned and the three that i think suffered from some sort of infection at the swap over are producing much slower then the ones that have been perfectly healthy all along. So i think the key will be keeping the plants in the dwc as happy and prepped as possible for their swap over to the final flower stage.
I suppercropped the dwc flowering plants the other day, since they were getting pretty tall. Hopefully this will encourage short internode growth and a fat main cola. I've been looking at the whole system though, and thinking about the final heigts, im thinking i might want to raise the shelf that the aero res is on. This would allow more space between the plants and the CFL's in the lower chamber, which really burn the hell out of the plants if they get too big. The problem i think is that since they are CFL's, raising them will jut encourage the plants to grow even taller and skinnier, not just grow the same and stay safe.
I have discovered that in soil cloning, rooting hormone makes a huge difference. Without it, my clones will take up to 20 days to root, whereas with it, 6-7 days tops, and they grow way more vigorously too, with way more roots breaking the pellet at the same time.
I planted a new coke bottle plant that i had previously started. It was topped early in it's life, so it should produce two nice little colas. I'ts in the flowering closet now mostly because i have extra space i'm not efficently using in the flowering chamber.
That's about it really. All is well. Seeds are on the way. No Trainwreck sprouts yet, but my buddy did tell me the seeds he threw me were old, so maybe they are just taking their time. We shall see. I don't really care that much. One way or the other, ill have a new strain to play with soon.
