First Grow - Autoflowering

Honestly I'm not sure,
we all saw the bananas but they seem to have gone now.
They may come back, they might not.
For all I know my plant might grow legs and run away, but I like to stay positive.

Sorry for the lack of updates people, busy life right now.
Here's a few quick shots to spur you all on though.

It's pretty hard to get under the mesh, so photos are above the canopy.
I think we are at Day 44.

Growth is incredible right now and the plant is incredibly smelly and sticky.
Leaves are also getting frosty... Not long left now!

The hairs are starting to turn a deep reddy amber colour now,
and the nugs are quite frosty...
Not as much bud as I was hoping for but it hermied on me,
and I panicked and pulled developing bud off her in a hope to rid balls.

I just picked a bit off her and opened it up as it was quite swollen,
there appears to be a developing seed inside, only very small.
How long will it take for seeds to develop?
I believe theres only about 2-3 days left before 2/3rds amber.
Is it worth leaving for buds to swell and produce seed,
or just cut her down and make do with the bud?

from ya last update it looks like ya got a coupl of weeks to go yet. the buds really fatten in the last coupl of weeks

Scrog looks nice... beautiful hairs too. so jealous. can't wait to get there too.

A couple of weeks?
It's an autoflowering plant...

Today is day 53 and I know people have finished at day 56.
I was going to give it until sunday.

Plus I doubt they will fatten up anymore,
the energy will go in to seed production.

Think I might cut for the smoke rather than the seeds.
It's a first grow and I'd like to have something to show for it.

what's the hurry... let the buds yellow on at least 75% of the plant, then harvest. Based on what I have read, that is recommended.

I'd like some for Halloween I suppose,
but mainly I'm looking for a less sedative high,
so cutting earlier will achieve this.

I already have about 40-50% amber hairs.
They will be about 70% pretty soon.

I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it for you to see,
and take a test smoke at the weekend.

I'm going out and won't be back for a few days so here's a quick update.
We are at day 54 I think,
It's supposed to be ready at 56.
(I know it always takes a little longer than they say)

These are pretty hurried pictures
(sorry for the small DOF)

Anyway, if these pictures are large enough you can see the stems of the trichomes are perfectly clear and the heads are milky white, there is an obvious difference if you can get in close enough (I can blow these pictures up to A1 so it's easier to see, sorry you can't with these uploads)

It's like a strange noodle soup of hairs in there,
it seems to be that the very top hairs on the nugs are still white,
then slightly lower down (maybe a cm) they are all an ill yellow or deep orange.
There are white hairs at the very bottom of the plants,
on the tiniest nugs I've ever seen, but they are starting to go red (20%)

I'd say I'm at around 60%
But of course I'm no expert, hence the journal.
I'm aware it still has a couple of days on it though.

Any comments are welcome.

Wow, really great photos of the dripping leaves. Beauty. One more week until harvet and two weeks to cure, then it's high times!

rep for this man, shame about the hermification. was it a strain defect or light poisoning? they filled out more than i expected, right in the very last week as well. lovely grow, auto's are fun aren't they!!

it seemed rather stressed when I got back.

I'll give the plant a few more days,

testing? you're going to smoke or ingest a cola to see if you get high?

Just going to hook it right up to my veins and see what happens.

I enjoy auto's for the ease,
but honestly I think it'll be back to older strains,
that are stable and reliable.

Trainwreck maybe.
