Hey Caddy, since there`s multiple inquiries I`ll try to address one by one. From your pics from the 13th, the plants look good and healthy and that`s what I`ll be going by for reference for you.
Firstly training.
I NEVER will top a nice Sativa like the SS, the top cola is your pride and joy for the most part with these plants. After my my first `overgrow` with the SSI used LST early on (days 24-30) and ended up SCROG`n the rest at 2 weeks flower, kept my canopy flush. Since you`re already so far I`d recommend getting some hemp string and some zip ties and just tie down your tops to level out an even canopy and put up a screen as soon as you switch over to 12/12 (which would be NOW for me
). ** EDIT - Sorry, stoned, you did the switch. Disregard switch and just follow the training now. 2-3 weeks into flower shouldn`t hurt you too bad, for a 100 day strain anyways **
As far as your airflow and pruning goes, reference your first picture from the 13th, take your close fists and stack them against your plant. You want to clear that much off your bottom portion.
This includes fan leaves. Allows plants to breathe from top-up and improves flow below. You will have to do this before anything else as it will start affecting the plant the further you go into flower. Your leaves are yellowing down there because there growth is essentially halted right now with the influx of `top`growth and the inability for the light to penetrate that low under the canopy.
Like I mentioned, the SS is definitely my favourite smoke (for a Sativa anyways), very complex, soothing for nerves and very creative for my art too!! She`ll get pretty hungry during flowering so keep close eye on your leaves and calyx production to ensure no deficiencies. The nice thing about SS is it will show you what it needs, just have to know what to look for
. And beautiful job so far mate, the leaves, internodal spacing and structure look real good so far. Sorry for taking up a sizeable area Caddy, I`ll be hangin`around
