First night switch to flower 12/12 light schedule question

Hello just a quick question my plants have been perfect color green throughout my whole grow I have my first night 12 hours off complete darkness when I woke up and the lights came on the leaves look like they're turning yellow on all the new growth is this normal? I did also switch my light LED light to Veg plus bloom but it just turned on that way for the first time. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes it's always normal when the get the first day of darkness to look yellow at all tops

The added red light on your bloom switch will bring out more of the imperfections on the leaves and make them more visible. You may want to raise your light and let them grow into it because it will be more wattage with bloom on now and you want them to get use to it. In a week or so when they’re flipped, start feeding bloom nutrients slowly.

Awesome yes I raised it up to 30" should I go higher maybe 34-36"

Thanks for the quick reply I just got home and checked them and they are already almost back to normal and seems like they are growing faster lol crazy

They will start to grow extremely fast over next two weeks. Also that's pretty far away that you have your light. I usually have mine only 12 to 18 inches from them and move light up as they grow. This way it helps keep the interlobes less spaced so less lanky.

If your light is already 30" away I would not move it further, just be mindful of there stretch, some strains really take off at flower onset.

I run my HPS alot closer than led but I have had the plants grow right into the light if I am careless not checking them

I actually put it at 18" and keeping a eye on it so far so good! Thanks for the reply

Youre pretty good at 30” I’d say, depending on actual wattage. If your light is over 200watts I’d take it to 36” and leave it there. They will double in size soon. Definitely start some bloom nutes working up to full dose. I feel they might like a couple feeds with a splash of N as well otherwise ur golden
