First time grow!

Your plants look really sad.

Why are your cfl's are so close to the plant. CFL's can get hot, so maybe it's best to back off by an inch or two. Also, is that a heater? Is the heat output of the cfl's sufficient?

Also, I am not using nutes right now. That yellowing indicates perhaps too much nute'ing. What's your watering regime?

Glad t hear you got your ladies outta that Miracle Grow and into some good soil. Your LST looks good. Just give them a few days to adjust and watch them bush out. What's up with Adam's lower leaves? I can't tell if its just dirt or are there little yellowing spots? Might be from the miracle grow..?..
Anyhoo.. good job on your first grow. keep at it. the rewards outweigh the challenges.

The CFLs dont got hot at all. I have a fan blowing directly on them and the plants. I can go right in there and touch them and they are not hot. The heater is in there to make sure it stays at 75 degrees because the CFLs will not heat the closet by themselves. Adam does have lots of spotting but I hope it was from the MG soil that I got them out of. I water them every 3-4 days with distilled water. I am not using any nutes yet.

No, the leaves are not good for smoking before or after harvest, it's the bud you want. :weed:

24th day veging! All I can say is, "I LOVE LST!" lol I can't believe the change in my plants since I did LST just yesterday. I tied my little ones down yesterday and they looked really sad after that. But look at the pictures from tonight. They are both growing a lot faster now and the side growth looks great. I can't wait till they grow big enough to tie them down again lol.

wow i am subscribing to this one once someone enlightens me how to subscribe. those look really good i didnt know how bad MG soil was until after i planted them hope it wont be too bad for em. that lst thing you are doing is giving me an idea for my babies when they get a little bigger after reading about this some more i dont understand why more people dont do it, is can have really good results

26th day veging. I gave them both a 1/4 dose of Grow Big and Big Bloom last night. They looked amazing when I got home from work today and they had grown enough that I felt it was time to tie them down again. The pictures were taken just after getting them tied down so they look awful but just wait till you see tomorrows pictures! I am posting pictures right after strapping them down so that everyone can see the dramatic difference a day makes after doing some LST. I really hope these 2 are females lol. :bigjoint:

Day 30 of veg. Eve is just exploding. The more I LST her the faster she grows. Adam is growing good except he is just so dam short and stocky lol. I really think I am having beginners luck here. :weed:

Well the plants are 40 days old now. I turned the lights off at 8PM last night and that was the start of flowering so today is day 1 of flowering. I really think Eve is a male but I am still hoping I'm wrong or that she is just a hermy. And let me just say LST makes plants freakin HUGE! I look down at these two and cant believe there are only 2 plants there. :weed:

Right now I have a 5" fan blowing air out of the closet and no air blowing in. I have the door open about 5 inches to allow my duct work to poke through for the exhaust. I have black plastic taped all around the door to prevent light leaks. Do you guys think I need a fan blowing air into the room? Right now the temp is fine but the humidity ranges from 60-75% which scares me. I also have a 13" fan blowing on the plants.
