First time grow!

Hey Pete,

I thought I would check back and see how things were going. I see your still calling her Adam and not Amanda, Oh well. she looks good to me. I wouldn't worry about the older leaf blotching like that. As the plant matures and needs different nutrients if there are none to be had in the nutrient mix it just takes it from the stored nutrients in the leaf. Its natural. I just cut them off and toss them if the rest of the plant looks good.

I am not saying that is the optimum growing procedure but it works for me.

Thanks for stopping back cruzer. We tried calling her Amanda but it was too damn hard lol.

Thanks for the help guys! I flushed my 3 gallon pot with 14 gallons of water last night just to get my ph up to 6.5 lol. Needless to say the soil was like total acid before I flushed. No more nutes for me from here on out.

So this morning I checked on my plant and guess what? We have an immaculate conception! 1 plant in the closet and now I have seeds. I guess somewhere on her a penis formed and pollinated some buds but I can't find any pollen sacks anywhere. It doesnt look like all the buds are pollinated but most are. Does this mean my stuff wont be as potent? I'm so pissed I can't believe this.
 
That sux. Most likely herm`d on you like you said, unless you somehow carried pollen in somehow... others in your neighborhood growing possibly... who knows. The stress on the plant is most likely the culprit though.... sorry man, I feel for ya!

Not 100% for sure I know they make feminized seeds by taking the pollen off of a hermie and pollinating another female. All seeds will be female now, hermie right is higher on fem plants just gotta watch for it and cut the sacks off before they open up.

So today is day 50 since 12/12 and I have finally solved the problem of the browning drying leaves. After the 14 gallon flush she seems to be stable right now. I am now watering her with our tap water which I was afraid to use at first. We have extremely hard well water. We have a softener that takes the iron out and I was afraid that the salt used to soften our water would not be good for the plant but she is doing great.

The water from our tap is about 8.5 ph which I also though was way to high but she seems to like it. I have stopped all nutes and only giving her molasses now. I don't know how long to leave her before I harvest. I read alot about harvesting based on the trichs but I also read alot about harvesting when it just looks ready. My trichs are now almost all milky but no amber yet.

I also have been reading that its really hard to let a plant go too long. So I think I am just going to let her go until I dont see anymore white hairs or I reach 50% amber trichs, whichever comes first.

I'll try to get pics tonight but she is so big I can no longer slide her out of the closet lol.
 
watch the hairs when they look a orangeish brown and the bud looks good then harvest if that makes sence im so fucking high right now

Makes sense Spex! Thanks. 75% of my hairs are light orange right now but there is still new white hair growth on most of the buds.
 
no go past red hairs keep it close to a week past hairs turning red. You want the bud to be fully ripe when cutting. Your only on day 50 let it go to 70.

Will they turn from light orange to red? My lower leaves just started yellowing this weekend so I think maybe next weekend will be harvest.:hump:
 
Pictures from day 57 of 12/12

Any Ideas on when I will start seeing amber trichs? I was thinking of harvesting when I start to see them.

Ok so finally got a chance to get some pics. I have not seen any amber trichs yet but all the ones i can see are milky. Three of the smaller branches snapped while I was sliding it out to take pictures. So now I have some bud in the oven getting ready to test it! Please take a look at the pics and tell me if I manicured them right. There seems to be alot of leafy material still left behind. But that may be normal I dont know because the only bud I have ever smoked has been so dried and pressed together I could not tell if leaves were there or not.

I am soo excited I can't wait to try this quick dried bud. The other 2 branches I have hanging in the flowering closet. I know that I should not be dring it where light is but at this point I have no other room.

Ok so just vaped 1/2 of what we normally do in a session of bud from adam. I put it in the oven at 170f for about 30mins. Let me just say it smelled like smoking a green blade of grass but it DEFFF did the job! Me and my wife are higher then kites right now. And it is a total head high which is awesome we have never had a high like this. if i let it go another week or two i guess the high will be more stony maybe.. oh well freakin awesome

this stuff quick dried and not quite ripe is already waaay better then the stuff ive bought in the passed year since i started smokin lol.
