eat lost of meat plain and simple, to build weight and keep fat down you need protien and good weight training. but for suppliments i prefer muscletech Nitro whey with Cell tech createin.
Can anyone recommend a good weight gainer type of product?
I recommend 100% Whey. Protein is great for building muscle with little fat. Also make sure that you have a healthy diet. I had a friend who heard that peanut butter would help you gain lots of weight(which it does) and he was trying to bulk up for a wrestling match. He ate multiple JARS of peanut butter and gained 6 or 7 pounds in a week. He hasn't touched peanut butter in 15 years. lol Don't go for the quick fix, good things come with work. Can anyone recommend a good weight gainer type of product?
hell yea this is definitly going in the work out but i'll be wearing 5lb wrist weights, i will be wearing those every day from when i get up to when i go to bed except for showers, or sparring and stuff were they need to be off, this is so when i get back in the ring those 18oz gloves will seem bare knuckle to me!Hey country boy... over at the pit where john hackleman trains his PIT GUYS.. they have these 130lb body bags... they are bad ass bags.. the guys carry them around and throw them around... it is an insane work out... they are in the shape of a body... head is missing and the legs don't go below the knees...
I personally use a d-ball - 16lb, 40lb and 60lb...
They are yellow balls filled with iron fillings.... I slam them on the gorund and catch them on the first bounce,., they only bounce about 1/2 inch and then I explode straight up until the ball is directly overhead (arms fully extended) and then I smash it to the ground again... I do this tabata style... 20 seconds ON.. 10 second rest... 8 rounds....
NEARLY puke almost every time.... great cardio and muscle explosion workout... crazy intensity..... just what you need for a fight
cheers
i grew up having to fight. my parents were both bikers and my moms older sons didnt like me cause my dad took my mom from there dad ive been stabbed, tazed, hit will a ball bat, had a stop sign bent over my head and a bunch of other shit so i grew up quick and tough, once they couldnt fuck with me any more i liked it to much so thats how i spent most of my school time and i got away with it cause i could prevok people just the right way to get them not to care about admiting to swinging first then getting beat up lol i had just as many street fights as i do school fights. i completly chilled out once i got into the vocational school im in now, i was not about to screw up the oppertunity for a better life that they gave me, and now im a big believer in charma so ive completly turned my life around shit im graduating in a month!Thats one thing that worries me about a fight, my endurance.
Cause in a real fight, there is no one going to stop it and its unpredictable.
Ive just started my running schedule, and can run a mile in 8 min, gonna try to bring it down to six, but that will take time.
Thanks for the advice guys. I think my best bet right now is to just eat lots of meat and get plenty of lean protein and start weight training some more. I heard whey protein is better for those who already have some muscle mass and are working out already, is that true? I'm just about 6 ft and only 120 lbs or so, so I think I need to up my diet before I do anything. I'm skinnier than a lot of girls.. it's not good
yes.. I would do it yourself.. unless you are prone to do better with verbal cues...or am I better off with some old fashioned research and hard work to find my own routine ?
True. I find that the stabilization needed when using free weights really helps with he coordination of the muscles and joints.Mr 12..
PROTEIN will nt put weight on you... not at all... it requires more energy to digest protein than it does carbs and fat....
If you want to put on weight and muscle... which it sound like you need to do desperately.... you should consider serious weight lifting... of olympic lifts.. and eat shit loads of vegetables, milk, carbs (pastas etc)..... and then eat some protein...
NO curls... no long distance running.. no tricep extensions.. all lame shit..
DON'T use any machines.. machines are for pussies... i don't mean that in any negative way... but somebody who does Olympic Lifting and body weight exercising will always be much more the athlete than those who use equipment....
GYMNASTS, MMA FIGHTERS, Wrestlers etc... don't fook around with machines... there is very little function, or intensity in machines compared to FREE WIEGHTS
sorry.. but true..
you need to focus on
squats
dead lifts
pull ups and weighted pull ups
bench
sprints (100 meter, 400 meter)
hand stand push ups against the wall
over head press, push press, push jerk
just go to Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness
follow the instructions and you will transform in 4 months... you and those around you will be sooooo surprised...
cheers
if money is no objectI have no idea what I can bench now but I'm guessing not 120 lbs. And the other problem with me drinking milk is that I'm also mildly lactose intolerant and I'm sure if I was drinking that much milk..things would not be good lol. What are some other drinks or foods that would be good for me? I eat like any normal person would but I guess that isn't good enough for me.. I must have a really high metabolism or something. I'm the one at the table who will finish their food first, then eat everyone elses left overs, and then an hour later be hungry again. And I may even be less than 120 now I'm not sure.. :/
Have you talked with your physician about it? It seems like there may be something other than nutrition that is keeping you from putting on weight. Maybe a tapeworm... or maybe not. But it's worth looking in to if you haven't already.I have no idea what I can bench now but I'm guessing not 120 lbs.
