what happens in the past,moulds the future.oppression keeps ppl in poverty,poverty creates desperate ppl,ppl who feel hopeless,this creates criminals,gangs,junkies etc...and that creates a vicious cycle of destruction.you say 40 years ago,but america is still a very racist country,and its only getting worse.

I was alive 40 years ago too,...All I get from this post is,...."they targeted us, we don`t know what to do, Can`t save ourselves because ????

So what happened ? Did Blacks loose a war they didn`t know how to fight ? Was anybody smart enough to circumvent the attack ?

If you earn a living and follow the rules, no matter what race you are, you wont have issues living in America.

Blacks have "failed" (your words) quite simply because the system is set up that way. We were never given a real opportunity to succeed. We have been legally discriminated against for all but 52 years (and 52 years is a very generous assessment considering the topic of this very thread.) of this country's history. Stupid question.

In the sixties and seventies,...Hitsville and Motown were huge successes and everyone loved the music,...Today, black culture music is full of hate and violence and totally sucks. What are you doing with that success ?

Nobody gave me an opportunity to succeed either. Then you say, "well nobody put up road blocks",...and I`d say you are full of shit. No-one would hire a convict is more like it. It wasn`t until I realized I was stopping myself with my behavior or reputation that I turned things around.

Still gotta succeed though.
