ya its a switchable ballast. got both bulbs already.

thanks and ill be check in out your grow as well. right now its a mh bulb, hps later for flowering. the rooms dimensions are 14 feet long eight feet high and 4 feet wide. got some room for expansion maybe in the future but got to keep it legal. not quite like sunny California yet.

does my light look like it the right distance away from the plants? its about 18 inches from the tops.

I think you should be fine. 18" sounds pretty good. Just make sure if the tips of the leaves get a little brittle or curl away from the light, then lift it. Little plants are much more fragile than big plants. They are gonna start growing much faster.....

I think you mispelled my name, but I actually like it more than blunder. Hmm. The begining is the slowest part. I hate starting from seed, if thats all I have. It felt like years waiting for this run to get going. Now that it is, I can't keep my mind straight, always something.

nothing yet. the dude at the grow shop said the soil would be fine for 30 days but i'm sure some added nutrients couldn't hurt. dont have a clue what to get. i want something thats easy and relatively inexpensive as money is an issue. any suggestions?

Well. There are several lines that would fit your needs. The one I would most reccomend for the first time "Recipe For Success" by Techna Flora. It has everything to get you through a few runs. 10 products. I bought 2 of them to get going, and then elaborated.

Yeah man, what wonder blunder said! the leaves will tell you if they're too close, curling, burning, yellowing. closer the better. youre already doing good w/dual ballast mh/hps. I run 4- t-5flouros for my veg and a 600w hps for my bloom. but a mh is even better! keep it up mang!

I actually like blunter.... wish I had thought of that before......... You will definitely be fine, I wouldn't rush into the nutes.... Patience is very important.... something I have trouble with.

Pulling up a seat for this one. I have some ghs trainwreck about 2 months from seed in veg I plan on using as a mother. Good luck with the grow, I hope to learn from it.

I love vegging under MH, I switched to flourescents and am running back to MH, can't run fast enough. Growth is continual, but still slow with flouros. I havent vegged under flouros for years until just recently......... When I setup my new space I will definitely be veggind under flouros(I have the perfect setup) , but right now I can't set it up properly in my space...

23 DAYS IN SOIL FROM GERMINATED SEED. this could be the last day for my random bag seed plant picture 4. might be getting a clone to replace it. all six plants pictured. holding off 2 water till tomorrow.

in that space, if u want a better yield, although u will need bigger pots for your roots i would lst those right now and then keep the MH on for another fortnight and then go to 12-12...if u get a little bigger bots your only vegging for 2-3 weeks but if u lst right u will get between 1.5-2 Z's a plant * 6 that is betwee 9- 12 z every 3 months with 6 plants and legal...im veggin separate so i can flower 6 plants 5 times a year.... at 1.5-2 z a plant conservitively speaking...do the math
