Frist time grow, Trainwreck and bag seed, please help

I think you could get a considerable amount more by waiting for a little. I just cut down a bunch of plants that I vegged about a foot, and lollipopped, I averaged a little under a half ounce each. more like 3/8ths and some per plant. Not very good. Ideally I was thinking 1 ounce. Let them grow for a lil bit. its amaziing how fast they will start growing now......

1 week or 2 would be fine. I mean definitely try and get some clones off them before you flower. I would reccomend to top them, make clones out of the tops, and then give them another 2 weeks. But I understand how you feel about getting your first run going, and sometimes learning is best done through experience. For me it is.

Question.....how tall/big do you want your plants to be? Of course bud size and quantity is also questionable, but plant size is usually the larger concern. I would wait prob 2 weeks or so longer depending on how much they grow to get a nice size yield from you ladies. But it all depends on your restraints. Of course plants continue to grow into the flowering stage but just not as fast.

Also the whole 24 hours of darkness thing im starting to think is BS. Honestly think about it light is energy for your plants. And never having 24 hours of complete darkness in the real world is unnatural, so why simulate it? All it sounds to me is a way of depriving your plants of energy.

thanks robbie and btw i read a good part of your grow last night. looked tasty, got any left? ne way i got all the room for them to grow high but only have the one 400 light. i just want the most out of what i got......thanks blunder. maybe i should reed some about topping cuz i dont really know the benefits. the whole clone thing is hard for me with only the one light, and the law.

Ahh I understand. Topping will give your multiple top colas. Makes the plants bushier and what not.
The whole deal with 24 hrs of darkness and it not occuring in nature is a terrible reason not to try it. Many of our techniques do not occur in nature(except maybe in unusual situations) however they are PROVEN to be better than nature. I wouldn't go off trying to replicate your back yard in your grow room....... Sorry about the little spree, its just grinded my gears.

well i've read quite a bit on the 24 hours of darkness. seems lots of big time growers use this technique. i was leaning towards trying this but am having second thoughts. right now my lights go on at 1pm and off at 7am. i did this to help keep low temps up during the night but have now got a space heater for the room. i want to have the lights go on at 7 am during flowering so the 24 hours of darkness would set me up perfect for that. so my new question, would it be ok to leave the light on an extra 12 hours before switching to 12/12? thanks

Yea def. Extra 12 hours is fine. Things are doing good in your world. Lets talk before you flip. I could hold some clones of it for you so you don't have to start from seed again.

Preflowers- to a beginning grower preflowers can be a tough topic. watching my plants mature I've been trying to spot these preflowers for some time. unable to truly see them till today, i water'd and got a close look. lets just say it was a good morning, i'm very happy. :lol::lol: posted are some pictures of what i think (99.99999% sure) are preflowers. if my newly attained skill of judging sex by preflowers is correct then all my trainwreck is female and only my random bag seed is male. guess we'll see.

i'm sure that 3 of my trainwreck is female and hopefully 4 but we'll see. one definitely looks male from preflowers but not sure. my biggest trainwreck is female and stands at 23 inches tall.:eyesmoke::weed: notice my random bag seed (top left) still looks like shit. guess it could just be an old rotten seed but not sure.
