my only advice would be considering how long you will use the lights for... is the ship time for the A51 not worth waiting for..Almost a month later and after reading and researching night/day...hell I'm just as confused as I was before. Nah just joking, but there's a lot of info to digest and like I've said all along I just want to get the best bang for my buck.
So, I've narrowed my choices down to these bad mutha's:
1. Apache Tech - (1x) AT600, at a cost of $2400 or $2000 as I've heard through the grapevine
2. Area 51 - (4x) RW 150, at a cost of $1920 - Only thing I'm worried about is the first week of April ship times.
3. BML Horticulture - (1x) Spydr 600 Grow-Max, at a cost of $999 - A late entry into the LED madness. I really like how you can space the LED bars to the width/spacing you desire. You can even adjust the angles by swiveling them. The bars are 36" and seem to be able to lay out a very even footprint.
Any last minute recommendations are always appreciated
If you didn't realize that, then what was your reason to buy them in the first place?Oh wow, now this is getting my attention as I didn't realize that. And...top bin Cree is > Epistar and Bridglux? So if I buy three of the SGS 160 I have a feeling that I will wish I had bought four instead? I usually have 4 bushes going in 5 gal dirt pots.
You seem determined to shop by low price and high power consumption. Those "awesome deals" are usually crap. Maybe all crap. I see countless posts here warning people to beware of eBay "bargains". You should heed them.I'm still in the process of looking/researching as much as possible before making a substantial investment. I'm not inclined to wait around for a51 to have product in stock either nor I'm I interested in a 75 watter. What's catching my eye at the moment is the Kind, yes I know not a cult following on that light but all lines appear blurred with led's anyway. I might even go the Ebay route and find a company that ships here in the US as it looks like there's awesome deals to be had on there.
Right....but then I come across posts by a member named Slipon and he seems to be doing pretty damn good with his Fero/LG Led combo. But points well taken, as it's a dead heat btwn A51 and Apache at this point. You seem determined to shop by low price and high power consumption. Those "awesome deals" are usually crap. In reference to the famed Cidly Apollo line?Unfortunately, anyone can come here and promote a product they're selling. There is no checking of the accuracy or impartiality of their claims. I've seen the Fero lights and thought they looked like generic Chinese cheap knock-offs.

BING, BING, and BING!!!They all look like they were made in the same building to me.
I need a Hans expert to chime in here. In a 4x4x7 space wth 4-6 plants how many Hans panels would be needed to at least match 600 watts of hid?
Never owned/used one but I've read quite a few threads that for LED it does run hotter than average, that alone turned me off to CLW.Does anyone know anything about California light works solar storm 880?
I have a CLW SS400, and yes it is a bit warm but not enough that my fan can't handle the heat. The reason for the heat is it is a 5 watt diode that in max bloom mode uses 320 watts for 80 diodes. That is a power factor of .80, you will not find that in any of the 3 watt diodes in the lamps your looking at. Their power factor is less than .5.Never owned/used one but I've read quite a few threads that for LED it does run hotter than average, that alone turned me off to CLW.
Get a real lamp (A51) and you will understand the additional cost.. Nice penetration, true, but I can GUARAN-FUGN-TEE that you have dark corners in your 3x3..Have you considered California Light Works? American, cheaper than the A51...5 watt diodes. Nice penetration. I have two of the 200 watt Solar Flare (one bloom booster and one full spectrum) and they are better than my old 600w hps in a 3x3. I also have one of those cheap Taotronics 240 in there as well, but the buds directly under the CLW lamps KICK ASS!!! food for thought n happy growing!
