The Main-Lining Thread breaks most your rules fellow,There is NEVER, and never has been, one post in all of the dozens of RIU defoliation threads (primarily posted by noobs) touting "the benefits of butchering a plant" that discusses the botanical implications and the direct cause-effect relationship.
Just a lot of hooey.......buds need light to fatten up, defoliation allows more air and light into the canopy, the practice fattens up the lower buds, etc.
I HAVE explained and countered with botanical fact why these herd mentality postulations are incorrect. It's a feel-good thing for ya'll.
1. removing fan leaves,
2.very few leaves mainly long cola's,
3 light deep into the canopy
4.very high yeild
So you think mainline don't work or you don't know what you are talking about mate
fan leaves are for vertcal growth, stores food/water ect, the plant grows bud leaves that help buds to growin flower
too many fan leaves increase humidty in the flower room and use up the the food and light reducing bud growth in late flower
