I have two party cups going with no lights, gonna wait till they get 3 inches tall before doing so, have them next to the windowI think we are looking good. Last grow at this point my plants were about the same height but had no leaves and were falling over because they were stretching so much. I don't think i got a light until like week 3 as I was using the window sill lol.
Oh man.. 20 seeds!? Sound like my brother in law. i did 8 plants my first grow.. fun turned to work, then turned to a pain in the rear.. I've down sized to a 4x2 for now and tore down my 4x8 tent. HAve a new 4x4 in the box just in case I get that itch to do another garage grow this winter. you need a lot of patience with these plants. Right now I want to water them but the soil is fine as it is... looking for dry spots in the pots just to say..you see it needs water! lm f a o.. just let them do their thing on their own is best most of the time. Well in organic soil anyways.Last grow was first and I just dove in head first. I bought and planted 20 seeds because you know why wouldn't I want 42lbs. Of weed? No lights, no knowledge, no good soil (was using outdoor soil from the yard, then some shit infested with spider mites from wal marts then finally ffhf). I also overwatered for the first few weeks lol. So then I tried piecing together a grow closet and then realized u can't do that either so now like 4.67 million dollars later here we are with a real grow closet. It seems to be working much better though lol
Same. It's challenging and the rewards are great when everything hits. Learned a lot. Still learning. The understanding comes from actually doing it.I thought they would just grow and bud and trim and dry and cure and jar themselves.........I really thought i was just going to grow them and have weed. Didn't realize the work that went into it. Out of the 20 i gave my dad 12 then he killed like 10 of them so i gave him more. I ended up with 3. This grow i am only doing 2 and i think that will be perfect. I am growing for fun more so than anything. I can buy weed from the dispensary but this gives me something to do lol
With autos I'm thinking DLI is what you want to be looking into. Knowing what the PPFD of your lighting would help you calculate the DLI. For normal home growers I feel like anything between 30-38 is good.Turned back to 90 lol.
Yeah ppfd requires another 200 dollar tool unless I am missing something...... we will figure that out on grow 5 lol ... for now we experiment....
Okay I got that but was told it was garbage by a cell phone tech because there is nothing in a phone that can accurately measure ppfd?????Photone - Grow Light Meter
growlightmeter.com
It only requires a $20 lux meter to accurately measure ppfd from a white LED lightYeah ppfd requires another 200 dollar tool unless I am missing something...... we will figure that out on grow 5 lol ... for now we experiment....
Depends on who you ask I guess. I have an Apogee 500, and the Photone app is not to far from the Apogee. And what @Billy the Mountain has mentioned already can get you in the ballpark, but if you want to reinvent the wheel, go ahead man, it's your grow, what do we know.Okay I got that but was told it was garbage by a cell phone tech because there is nothing in a phone that can accurately measure ppfd?????
I just ordered one. For $20 im cool with that. for $200 nah. Now for the 42 hours of research to figure out wtf ppfd really is and what i am doing with it... Let's gooooooo lolDepends on who you ask I guess. I have an Apogee 500, and the Photone app is not to far from the Apogee. I filled it to the max and run it 10 lower than usual. Doesn't work as hard like that. Won't last a week but it's better than nothing. And these plants are really resilient, Couple days off won't kill them. We do more damage to them than anything else.I just ordered one. For $20 im cool with that. for $200 nah. Question - how do you keep the humidifier going when you're out of town for a week?
The camera "ratio" needs to be set to "full" for it to work here. Thought I'd let u know! Ty!That can mean your image is too large.
