Nope, the chop didn't happen this weekend like I was hoping. The LA woman is just not ready for it yet and I'm not going to chop early. I've noticed the stuff chopped early provides a rather unpleasant high that makes me feel anxious, aggressive, and paranoid. Now considering 9 out of 10 members on RIU harvest too early, it makes a lot of sense why most of them act like asshole e-thugs.
The TW is just about done and I'm planning on chopping that this weekend but the LA woman might need a little more time. The buds are still really hairy and not very dense and the trichs on everything are still cloudy, no amber. I'm not sure if I should be expecting more growth but she just doesn't look done to me. I figure more time couldn't hurt things. Today is the start of week 11.

Me too. I'm hoping for an lb total from all the plants in my flowering tent. We'll see how realistic that is once I start cutting. Even if I fall short, it'll still be well worth smoking. Probably 10 days ago, I pulled some immature, popcorn buds off the bottom that broke the stem from the weight and/or wasn't getting any light. I was only planning on using them for hash/cooking but they dried up really nice and smoke really well if you can get over the annoying uppity high. Absolutely smooth as silk and a great flavor for being as early as they were. A couple more weeks on top of that should make for some really fine bud. The popcorn nugs will go to the dispensary/street and the dank nuggets are for my personal stash.
Yeah hit me up, I'll be glad to share some knowledge. It is my first hydro endeavor so I haven't gotten everything dialed in yet.

Yea it was a dispensary clone. Trainwreck x White Widow he said. I'm sure some of the Juicy Fruit got seeded too. So are seeds from a female fertilized by a hermie female any good? I've had a couple people say they'd be fem'd that way. I assumed they'd just carry on the hermie trait. You're pretty on top of the game, what do you think?

I don't have any experience with hermies, so I can't definitively say whether a hermied seed will produce anything besides more hermies. The genetics you're working with sound unstable and shoddy, so I'd avoid the temptation to waste your time growing them out to find out they still suck.

That's an excellent point. I feel bummed right now, why would I plant questionable seeds to grow more of the same plants that fucked up my grow and bummed me out in the first place? They may become my guerilla outdoor project seeds, baking use only! Ha want some?

Yeah, the DWC totes are all do-it-yourself projects. I've got a 600 gph pump for each tote, they cost $35 or so. I got them from www.cheaphydroponics.com. The totes are good for a bunch of small plants but its a pain in the ass for big, out of control plants like my trainwreck. Next time around, I'm going with smaller totes and less plants.

I'm thinking 20L sterlite totes like what I have my two white widow in. Provides plenty of root space but doesn't take much to fill. I'll have to scout around. I'd like to avoid 5 gal buckets because they take up too much vertical space for my scrog plans.

Ahhhh very interesting. I think I'm going mini trees route next round. Should be a caregiver for another kid by then so I can double up on my plants. Been reading some interviews with medical marijuana specific lawyers and and they say the legal consensus is that you can grow 6 plants and you can appoint one other person to grow 6 plants on your behalf as well. I would assume it's a fail safe in the event one of you fucks up, that way there's still medicine. I always thought you signed away your growing rights if you let someone else grow for you. They both seemed pretty confident that was legit.

If going by the number of weeks into 12/12, both will be done with 12 weeks at that point. But, the LA woman was sexually mature going into 12/12 and the TW took a week or two to show preflowers, so technically, 10-11 weeks. Not sure why they took so long to finish but at least I know for sure they are done.

I've had a few people tell me that it's pretty common for them to see crops finishing quicker in the summer and slower in the winter. Not sure if it's true, but if it is I'd attribute it to temperatures. I bet if you're running a big light and your always battling high temps you wouldn't notice it. I can barely keep my temps above 65 in the colder cycle but we also have a real winter here. I'll keep our low temps and low humidity though
