None the less the friend s an idiot but they should have never let the cop even pass the fucking door mat. Make them cock suckers go to the judge & get a fucking warrant. This case can go away easily my friend however your stories have to be together. Too many times have the police have ruptured cases just like this & the case gets thrown out. Spend a lil cash & get a private attorney. Trust me they'll make it go away.

It is impossible to tell whether or not it was an illegal search without knowing what state you are in. I don't believe you have disclosed that to us yet and probably best not to. Your best bet (as stated in other posts above, I believe) is to do NOTHING ELSE. That is, don't remove the evidence, don't call the real estate agent, etc. No matter what state you are in, you should have been appointed a public defender. Call him or her and talk to them about what you have told us. If you can afford your own attorney, better yet. Most attorneys will talk to you one time for free anyway. Look in the phone book. You are lucky all you have been charged with is trespassing. If you talk to your lawyer, you may even be able to get that charged dropped. It certainly sounds like you may have a case for illegal search, but leave that to your lawyer. Anything you do now can only hurt your case. Good luck.

Get your own attorney, and make sure you get one who specializes in situations like this and has a real good track record. As has been said, you've pretty much done everything wrong up until this point, and the prosecution will be banking on you carrying that momentum into the court and making their case for them.

So get a top notch lawyer, put his # in your phone, and call that guy for permission before you so much as fart at a buddy's house. Guarantee you'll grow broke paying him, but it will be ALOT cheaper than the stat sanctioned financial raping that is only a few potential months down the road for you otherwise..

Laws are not pertaining to this situation as none of the involved owned the property and all were criminally tresspassing. they did have reason to believe there was weed there they had evidence but regardless in my option they performed a illegal search you told them that you dident want them to go upstairs leagly they would have had to acquire a search warrent but by denieing them right to search you almost say yea i got weed up there so they would have no doubt gotten it approved but you would have most likely had time to get rid of the evidence, if a cop ever straight forward asks to search your property you should say yea sure after you show me a warrent its a iffy subject weather they have probable cause or not they do not have the athoutity to search your home without eather premission or a warrent seeing they dident have eather i say it was illegaly searched

I'm still only being charged atm with criminal trespassing but i have a appearance on march 18'th, enough time to remove any OTHER kind of evidence before they do their forensic finger printing shit or whatever they wanna do.
