I don't know of any states where it's not s state and / or federal crime for the average Joe to grow MJ. Sure if you have a small amount it maybe a misdemeanor, but I haven't never heard of it being decrimenalized.

Sorry dude, only joking. The choice really is yours. You could start growing again now, but understand that plod may be monitoring you to see if you're connected with dealing. If you have many people coming and going at your address and you start growing again then they may raid you again believing you're dealing.
If your home is quiet, and you can be discreet, then by all means start growing again straight away. Only you can answer whether you would feel comfortable doing it or not.

Damn straight. Don't listen to that US advice about warrants, in this country simply don't answer the door.
I've had plod on my doorstep on numerous occasions with arrest warrants and simply not answered the door to them. If they can't see you they can't justify kicking your door in. Of course some warrants and they will just kick it in, but that is rare in my experience.

You were caught because of an unrelated issue. That is circumstance.
Don't leave trace evidence outside... ie. don't put pulled leaves/clippings or boxes for new grow kit in your own garbage, bag it up and put it in a bin at least a few blocks away. I'm assuming that where you live the law needs to have reasonable grounds to get a warrant to search your property.
Grow on, but grow smart.

Yes it is a federal offense in the U.S. However, the laws have become established at the state level and are, for the most part, enforced and monitored by state then the county in which you reside. I live in California. A patient's script allows them to cultivate up to 30 plants within a 100 square foot garden canopy. That comes out to about 14 3' diameter plants. I grow for a number of patients that get together every year to put in money and labor into the their garden so they can produce enough smoke to last them until next year. At this moment... I have over 100 plants on site.... legally. So, screw the UK... this is where it's at!

I got busted last year in February.
I thought my growing days were done.
But 2 months later I started back up again.
I'm not going to into the finer details other than I had 4 plants within a pretty professional setup.
I got a caution.
However I honestly think that the plod thought I was doing a houseful. As when I showed them my room they were like "is that it?"
I got a caution.
They have to have a search warrant to enter your home in the uk. Regardless of what they say to you.
Personally I'm in my mid 30's with a wife and kids, my own home that's bought and paid for. I don't have random people calling to my home.
I certainly don't have young people coming round.
If I were you I wouldn't bother again until you're in a new place.

Well in Canada, 5 won't get you put in jail. Personally my lights would have been back on an hour after they left. If your using it for medicinal purposes and aren't caught selling anything, no judge in Canada would convict a "patient" and his medication. Does your country give out permits to grow and or possess? If yes then there's your legal out. The program implicates everyone in this situation, legal or not. Currently they want to scrap our current program here in Canada and even if I loose my license I will NEVER stop growing and there are not judged with big enough balls to challenge your human rights...at least in Canada. Maybe spend a few buck and speak with a lawyer. Good Luck

My state has passed decriminalization laws, and passed legalization for recreational use in house and senate, has made it to referendum ballot for public to vote on in 2014 november
.Cannabis still ranked sched 1, higher then morphine and coke on potential for abuse laws in federal books, but I dont think many states enforce federal if they passed local referendums, they leave feds to do their own work.

You'd be pretty unlucky to get put in jail here in the UK for 5 plants on even your third bust. If you have an otherwise clean record, and possible medical reasons for using, and no proof of dealing they simply cannot justify prison based on the sentencing guidelines (unless you do something silly like resist arrest). Growing just equates to possession really, any other factors are only applied if dealing can be linked and proved. Our prison system is not run for profit and is overcrowded.
Why this silly situation hasn't been exploited by our revenue lacking government is something of a political curiosity to me, even if it does fit with my personal politics to keep things the way they are. Like I say, no need for decriminalisation as it has never been 'illegal' - simply reclassify to class c and enable licenses to be obtained.
