I like living with my wife and children so I do unfortunately, she takes comfort in a piece of paper where as I couldn't care less about having it or not.

I myself am not dying from my condition but if I were I would do what I need to do.
I have no clue what it's like to have a time frame but I accepted long ago that from the time we are conceived we are dying.
This is the only account I have ever had here and am unsure who this ODD one you speak of is.
LEGAL means doing everything within the eyes of the law, which includes waiting on silly pieces of paper from bureaucratic assholes (especially in a city like mine where they will and do prosecute for a joint). I have watched people I cared about die from chemo and radiation, I know it is not enjoyable and it is painful to watch so I can't imagine what it is like going through it.
I am all for people growing outside the system and am overjoyed seeing the number of people here who do, but I myself can not is what I was saying.
I am stuck waiting on my second set of papers that they finally got around to opening after 3 weeks to be processed over likely the next 4-8 weeks (they told me when I called that they would take longer than 2-4 weeks because they are really behind).
I'm not here to fight with you and I'm not telling you what you are doing is wrong, it is simply wrong for me in my situation.

Charges against individuals were withdrawn, the corporation running the dispensary still faces $6500 in fines based on Resin/Edibles with intent to traffic. Interestingly, the owners dispute the validity of those charges given apparently no edibles were seized.

Where I live in the far north they bust folks for a bit of pot or a couple of plants and folks get convicted. Even if you beat the charges you still have to put up with all the hassle, get your house trashed, lose your plants and stash, cough up 5G or so for a lawyer and go thru months of stress until it's all said and done. Kids can end up in the hands of social services at least temporarily and that's another nightmare for them and the parents.
I'm still on the fence about applying to grow but leaning way over to the get legal side now and the grass is starting to look a bit greener over there.

Yea. It's great if you're a rich dispensary pusher and have fat bank to fight drawn out legal battles, but why the fuck would any individual want that, ever? I'm not willing to fall on my sword rather than wait a few weeks for papers, still have some sanity left in the old noodle.

The owners of MACROS aren't rich (which is why they aren't just following other dispensaries by re-opening).
I'm curious as to what your definition of 'a few weeks' is, given people are waiting months for ACMPR registrations to be sent out.

Ya that's fine and dandy to stay legal and buy from a lousy producer in the mean time while you wait for your legal papers. What about the other 80% who can't afford the bs lousy producers prices???? They go without? Or they do civil disobedience and do what they need to. So check your insanity at the door. Unjust laws are meant to be broken

Wait times aren't likely to get any better soon as there's probably lots of guys like me that have their med papers but haven't filed to grow. It'll get even worse if the recommendations become law and every Tom, Dick and Harry rec smoker apply to grow their 4 plants.
I'll just keep growing in the meantime.

Exactly. And on that note, Cannabis Culture just opened up 8 recreational dispensary locations in Quebec, lineups around the block.
The QC mayor vows to stop them of course, but the value in this particular instance of civil disobedience shows just how easy legalization can be, and what the demand for retail outlets are (lineups around the block in chilly weather).
They supposedly test their product now as well, which should nip the 'b-b-but evil untested product' argument in the bud (no pun intended). Also they apparently want to open one up in Trudeau's riding : http://www.metronews.ca/news/canada...stands-until-new-legislation-is-ratified.html
