according to my buddy that has grown GC for a while, its a really fast flowerer (like 45 days fast). who knows?
My buddy has some really nice GC. 60 days strain or so. This grow is now White Widow. My GC clones sucked so I scrapped them.

haha, my bad. WW is a classic, I usually see it take 10 weeks on other grows at max (aka if they didn't pull early).

Hey Dubs, just catching up - grow looks good, but I do have a coupla comments/suggestions, if that's okay.............

1) I've got light bleaching directly under my 1K as well - shit sucks, but live and learn - unfortunately I'm as high as I can go with the light, so I just need to flip them a lot earlier next time - roughly what distance were you at from canopy to reflector, and what are you at after the adjustment, if you don't mind me asking?

2) Having a pump that fills your tray faster then the overflow drain can drain it is kinda sketchy, IMHO - if you're 100% confident that you've got it covered then more power to you, but it's something I'd take care of, just for peace of mind.

3) Does your dehumidifier have a continuous drain option? I had the same problem running my tent, in that whenever the deh. would get full, it'd shut off and RH would hit 90% in no time - fixed it by setting it up to continuously drain and run 24/7. As an aside, that water that's produced is extremely low PPM (like 10ish), so I pump that water into my R/O water reservoir to be used for topping off and such.

Other then those fairly minor points, your grow is looking great :weed:

1) bleaching occured 1ft from the canopy. All was well until the plants got a tad taller. I just raised my lights another 8". My coverage looks so much better now. I really like the coverage 2ft+ from the canopy. My next grow, I won't raise or lower the lights. I'm going to update photos today or tomorrow.

2) If I had a 100gal res it would be a problem. The 70gal res doesn't have enough water to fill up the tray. When I'm at max capacity my res has maybe 5gal of water left in it. My overflow valve is covered by about .5". Even with no overflow valve my tray would not over flow. But it's certainly something somebody should keep an eye on if there res is a little big for their tray.

3) I've seen a few set ups like your talking about with the DH. I need to do it. I already dump my DH water back in the res. Yeah it's clean water...30ppm for me. It would skyrocket and has when it's full. Apparently I threw out the fitting that allows a hose for it to drain out of the unit and into my res. I'm going to do that soon.

I need to get some updated photos. A lot is going to change.

I'm going to enclose my tray like a grow tent. I need to lower my energy bill. I can't do anything about the lights by I can definatley lower my AC and Co2 costs by lowering the cuft of my grow. By enclosing it I will reduce my grow area by 60%. I'm also increasing my thermostat setting on my AC unit. It was set at 70 and ran basically the entire time the lghts were on. I think I can grow just fine in an 80degree room. My Co2 is filling up a 200sqft area when it should be filling up a 80sqft area.

With these adjustments I hope to lower my costs a few hundred bucks a month. I think $500mo is a reasonable target for a 2000w grow. I'm at $750 fucking dollars right now.

OUCH!

The last reason I want the grow area smaller is side wall reflection. My other side of the tray...the side against the wall...actually the three sides against the wall have significantly more grow than my "walk in the door shot." That side has no reflectivity and it show. Wait till you guys see the difference. Had I done all these things in the beginning my costs would be down and yield would be up.

I think I can yeild at least an ounce more on my next grow just from having a reflective wall on that open side. It's shocking how much more bud there is on the other three walls.

If my dumb ass can do it, anyone can do it.

First pic is the DH draining into its own little rez, and the second pic is the tubing coming from that res, out of the tent, and into my large clean water res.

A hose, $10 pump, and some tubing is all you need.

And I'm with you on the higher light - trying to give myself as much headroom as possible; not a big deal if you're rotating your plants fairly frequently, but if you're doing SCROG or anything else where they're stuck in place, the ones in the middle get roasted.

BTW, what's your CO2 usage looking like these days? (if you don't mind me asking)

Got my Co2 dialed in right around 1700. I run through a 20lb bottle every 5 days or so. Once I close in my room I should extend that bottle to about 10-15 days.

Here are some shots to show how important reflective walls are.

Look at these wimpy fans and almost no bud growth on this side.

Now look at my other side! You can barely even see the tray.

Cola's vs nothing. I'll take cola's.

A cheap and easy way to fix this until I decide to wall off this area are these PVC panels I made. I'm going to wrap them in white plastic. They are cheap and light weight. I did 4ft panels so that I can move them one at a time if needed.

Not much to debate here...even the lighting in the photos tells you what is getting more light.

Dubs you may want to make a false 4th wall also if you can and maybe rig it up to drop and or roll out of the way for plant tending and pick up some mylar for all sides

I just picked up like 25 ft for 28 dollars and it made a big difference, you might as well you are deep in this it now

Just a thought

That's what those PVC frames are for. I just put plastic up on them a little while ago.

Right on right on looks great

That's kind of what I thought but asking just in case

Yeah I added mylar on sunday and my plants are booming with that stuff it really makes a difference

And they do say C02 works better when you are in the 80's with your temps

That how I have been all week, rolling in the 80's

Dubs, props on this grow man. I am definitaly subscribed.
Hey thanks man.

You know, they might be done by the end of Jan. I went in this morning and a lot of amber hairs are showing their faces. If I double up on density over the next three weeks I'll be stoked.

Even though I struggle to see day to day growth, I know they're growing. Then keep falling over so they must be packing on weight. I guess it's a good problem.

PPM's still not too high. Maybe 900-950 max.

Cool man. So what are you about 5 weeks in 12/12 now? Yeah about that time you start seeing the hairs mature. your getting there, they are going to be awesome

I flipped them at 18" on 11/24. I'm more like six weeks in. It will not be an 8wk strain that is for sure. Looking like 9 and 10 is the outside timeline I'm looking at.

My buddy is growing some shit right now that is done in 50 days plus or minus.

These just might finish by the end of the month and be a 9 week flower. Everything is starting to flop all over the place. My next grow I should be a bit more prepared. Plus if I do a SOG I won't so much tall flimsy limbs.

If I were to copy this grow again, 10 plants and same strain, I think I could yield at least 25% more.

In the last two days they've really started to pack on weight and the hairs are turning amber. I'm getting pretty excited as I head into the home stretch.

Once again we have some timeline pics to give me/us some perspective.

Today 1/09

12/15 This was when they were at their healthiest. No nute burn. No leaf curling and no bleaching.

12/30

1/09...everything looks different in this shit. I had to put netting all over to pull things back up.

Random nug shot from today.
