Hello world, more of the same ol growth happening:bigjoint:

...slowly but surely...

I had to sacrifice some short term growth for some LONG TERM BUDDAGE..meaning I had to feed my plants some P & K nutes just in case there were any seeds, but the problem was that these nutes contain an auto-correcting PH adjusting ingredient and it kinda threw my PH off just a lil bit and caused some leaves to look a lil funky, but the BUDS hit a growth spurt in exchange which is fine bcuz im after growing dank buds, not leaves.

so Im excited about that.

I took the plants out today for this photo shoot, I got a lot of really good pics that Im willing to share with you all..well all of you who are still following.. Ill post em either later on in this journal or maybe in any contest that we may have on the site.

I wish all of u could smell them! the sweet purp x bubb smells just like sweet purp x bubb!!!! lol as corny as that sounds its true

sweet purp has a very minty smell to it that kinda smells like fresh greens in a forest. it tingles the nose when U smell like, sorta like when u put a peppermint in ur mouth, and the smoke leaves ur mouth feeling like u just rinsed with mouth wash.

bubb is more of a fruity flowery smell. I liken it to a sweet smelling air freshner, the plug-in kind that fills the room with an aroma that gives u a warm and comfortable feeling. its almost a cinnamon-strawberry smell..

combine those two smells and u will know how my grow room smells.:lol::bigjoint:

The sativa isnt anything special...as U probably can tell by now I really dont care for sativa growing..it takes a really long time and I just dont have much patience, but since this sativa is cooperating so well I will let her finish doing what ever the hell she needs to do. :lol:

03/09/2009 - Day 42 of 12/12 under the 400w HPS in the GrowCab

Its been a really stressful week for me, im bangin my head against the wall :wall:at some of the things thats been happening personally, but other than that...

THINGS ARE FREAKING SWEET IN THE GROWCAB!

they've been under 12/12 for exactly 6 weeks now, but I subtract 9 days bcuz thats how long it took them to show sex. with those numbers I can determine how much longer im going to flower and when the harvest will be.

The Sweet Purp x Bubb is doing fantastic, its so much further along than the sativa, but thats bcuz the sweet purp x bubb is 50/50 sativa/indica.

She will probably finish up in about 21-28 days

The sativa is gonna take much longer, im thinking another 42 days.. but thats being extreme.

as these ladies edge closer and closer to harvest, the trichomes build up, the calaxyes swell, the buds stretch and plump!

^^If this was an Indica plant, Id probably pull off those leaves, and maybe consider an earlier harvest..but since I know that sativa's are tough by nature, Im confident that this one will recover and pull thru. yeilding nice dank cola's! :bigjoint:

wow...Props dude! Those are looking absolutely awesome, and I like the idea of a sweet purple cross to a more sativa high. I am growing some sweet purple at right now too, shes starting her 3rd week of flowering, but I can't wait to see more buds. Any clue on how the high is for sweet purple? Congrats on the harvest and let me know how they toke up!

absolutly f-ing awsome. sweet job man...oh by the way are you sattisfied with the vegging under the floros or do you think they would be bigger if you veggged under the hps also? i have mmine under a 400 and i have enough floros t8s to and cfls to veg no problem, am i wasting energy vegging under the hps? they are looking good though

yikes ur plant looks like a monster!!!:weed:

but yea, i absolutely love the sativa high, but hate the wait time. This cross is gonna give me a better potency, and shorter, squat plants with dense buds.

Sweet purple is naturally a very "branchy" and "stretchy" plant, most growers dont recommend U vegging sweet purp for longer than 10 days, and then switch to flower.

The high is great, its very long lasting when the buds are fully ripe. It taste exactly how it smells...delicious, a very smooth smoke! The only way I can describe the high to u is - have U ever had weed that was sooo potent that it made ur stomach drop after U hit it a few times? its the type of bud U can only hit a few times or else U'll be too high..its very social, and it creeps up on U.

I crossed with bubblicious bcuz bubb has a very euphoric high, it makes U wanna read and watch youtube videos all day and the high is very long lasting also. Bubblicious is cousin to blueberry and white widow so it only adds to the flavor and potency of the sweet purp.

soon as I harvest these ladies I will definitely post up a full report

I was felling a little insecure since my grow isnt MEGA LARGE or anything..I got very little love till now..but I agree, Im expecting quite a large harvest (8 oz wet) the first phase of harvest from these 2 plants.

Im gonna dry them till they lose about 2/3 of the water, and freeze the rest

heya jordi!

they would definitely be bigger if I vegged under the HPS, but that would also consume a little too much energy than I'd like to pay for.

I make up for what I lack in lumens by vegging with 24hrs of light.
160w of CFL's stay on the plants, and running them 24hrs will still consume less energy than running the 400w HPS for 12hrs. Im very satisfied with the results.

but I also tend to worry about heat, even though I have it under control finally, I like to keep things cool:hump:

Quick update...

I gotta share this with u guys!

a few days ago I gave them a feeding of full strength nutes that I picked up on Pluto:confused:, flora nova bloom, and a teaspoon of molasses.

the buds literally doubled in size since then!

I think I may have one or two more full strength feedings with molasses until I cut back.

Personally I continue to feed the plants 1/4 strength bloom nutes till a week before harvest and then I flush.

Im getting excited just thinking about harvest!! I wish I had something to smoke to take my mind off of it lol!

^^finishing up nicely!! I think she may have hermied bcuz her leaves are turning colors like she has been pollinated and has seeds...:o

but I wont know for sure until harvest:-|

^^Same story with this one..the brown spots are due to PH fluctuation, but the yellowing is kinda abnormal so Im assuming she also has seeds..:o

wow..an inspiration i will be building a box soon and basing it off of yours. Thank you for all the great pics a few pages back describing every thing.. The buds look fanFREAKINtastic and cant wait for harvest pRON. untill then...happy growing my friend and keep them girls happy!
