I was wondering with all the green thumbs around here if anyone else grows by the phases of the moon. Confused? I'll explain...
When I was a child, my grandfather passed this bit of gardening knowledge on to me. Now that I have been doing this for a number of years and have begun to understand what an important tool it is. I would like to pass it on to as many people as are willing to learn about it. By all accounts, this has been practiced since the dawn of agriculture, and has only fallen out of use in the past century or so. Since the advent of the tractor and modern chemical ferts, really.
In gardening, the different phases of the moon in conjunction with which astrological sign is it in, govern different aspects of plant life and growth. It takes years of study to learn which phase does what and when, and there is an abundance of information both in books and on the web, so you should have no trouble finding information on this subject. But luckily there are charts that tell you what you need to know without hours of reading. So, here are a couple of my favorites.

This subject is far too extensive to to into detail about it here. But those of you who are interested enough will learn a great deal from this.
