Oh!

And Although in the future I will TOTALLY start with a big pot...

a well established hydroton root ball will slide out of a small pot like that with little to no damage..

Nah your not bein an ass coz I know how some of these threads can become so I understand your concerns. Helpful posts from credible growers should be welcomed because they can raise some good points but any type of thank you comments etc should either be posted in your other thread or by way of +Reps.

Id be mainly watering around the edges of the newly potted plant so the roots have to reach out further to get a good feeding. I know nothing about hydroton so does it retain moisture?

Very little water retention...

I have watered my SOG garden up to 12x a day 15 min each without issues...

But they can do with as little as 2x as well...

I was planning on doing 1 large diameter spiral near the bottom of the pot

1 small spiral about halfway up...

and another large spiral up top...

with a plug at the end...

several holes along the hose...

make sense?

do you think that it would work ok like that... ?

I would probably start with 15 min every other hour... only watering when the light is on...

Also ..

I got the big pump... 264 gph..

so it should cycle a fair bit of solution... like 60 gallons per 15 min flood...

Well the plants will let you know if they are not happy with it and if they want more or less so it should work out alright. Post up some pics of your complete setup when u get it goin so I know exactly what your doin.

gotta get her some liquids first though...

then haircut....

Everything off the bottom 3rd period?

then everything but the tops off all the branches?

am I getting ahead of my self here?

Oh.. and should I splay her open asap or do we do that after a bit more veg?

Thanks Bro!

Tie her down first and then trim. That way you can see what branches and what growth to keep. Basically 1/4 of the lower growth can be trimmed off but leave all the branches on so we can see what we have to work with.

I drill holes around the rim of the pot so I can tie the plant down to it like pictured below. I sometimes go crazy with the tying to fill out every space possible. You can see that by the way I have bent and trained the branch to grow in the direction I want.

I promise I'll only say something when I feel it's absolutely necessary.

For now. I'll keep my mouth shut because Blaze is directing so well.

Open that girl up Gypsy, make a circle out of her.

the Sun has been out for about 3 weeks now...:eyesmoke:

and she's got water... pump is running as we speak...

I figure I'll just flush real good... change res and nute her tomorrow..

And just to make sure... I'll be using the Grow version of that nute I showed ...
