Having to deal with law enforcement real soon

the cops will suspect that you where growing weed at some time or about to grow weed, they cant arrest you as all they found was a closet lined with foil and a HPS light. My advice to you would be to take the foil and the light down. It is not against the law to have a HPS light therefore i dont see why you should hide it from the cops. They will be suspicious of course but all you need to do is feed them sum bullshit story about growing tomatoes or it was for your reptile or something and they will leave suspicious but will have no evidence at all if your appartment is clean. Only downside is that you can defiantly not grow marijuana in that appartment ever as it is likely the landlord will make regular checks on the appartment now that he suspects you may be trying to grow marijuana and the fact you had a big party.

Roommates, spouses, significant others + grow rooms = significantly higher odds of going to prison. Take it from one who's been there, done that.

Been almost 72 hours now and they still haven't shown up. Either it's not a priority, or they are working on getting a search warrant. I just wish they would get here already so I can be done with this shit.

Grow a pair of fuckin gonads imo set it all up soil a nd everything and then hand them a pack of tomatoe seeds when they ask and laugh ure ass off to ureself inside ure head as they cant do shit

other then that you prolly dont wana grow there imo they might come back randomley in a few months but I duno if they could search then

I would move everything out.Pack up all your shit ,and find a new place so you can get growing again. lets get back to work.

Upon further reflection... if the grow light was set up and there was nothing growing under it, and they found no other illegal substances during their walk through, then I don't see where they would have any legal standing to get a search warrant.

Which is probably why they haven't come back.

In my opinion you have very little reason to worry, but we all know how big of douche bags cops can be. There are prob. 101 reasons why the light could be there, the foil is what you will most likely have to explain. Whatever you do, make sure you run the story you decide on with your room mates, so they all know what to say when questioned. And yeah, if they manage to pull some kind of warrent out of their pig asses, make sure they wont find anything incriminating on your computer, I would suggest having your roommates with you during the search and the camera survailing you wouldnt hurt. If I was in your situation I would come up with some sob story about you not being aware of the number of people at the party, cry about your pet reptile getting out of your closet, if they ask about the lights say it need certian UVa and UVb rays to help it matabolize. Dont play the blame game and dump the party all on the roommate, he could be a bitch and finger you out. So yeah, work the sympathy card, "My baby is gone!", make sure your roomies can vouge for your pet being there before the party. Give it a name, call it Steve, Bob, whatever tickles your fancy, but be respectful, apologetic and a kiss ass. The reason people become cops is to feel more powerful then you, so give them what they want and they should go away.

Having a light like that might be enough to have a search warrant, it might be under something named paraphernalia, the 5-0 can come up with the most scrupulous ways of arresting you/searching your car/house. The USA blows!

Yah thats pretty much the thing - just play it safe and dont grow till your roomates are adequite. Still never tell anyone that you do and keep your shit on lock and key. Fuck no one has to know. As far as anyone is concerned I am the guy with the dank bud. They don't know I grow my own. Fuck other people and look out for #1! I think youll be okay though just dont grow for a while to be safe. Your all good.

Set it up like this.

I like the reptile idea!!! If you take the stuff down that will be suspicious and they will be watching you. Just make sure you wipe everything down so there is not a trace of pollen, dried fan leaf crust, or anything else. But it's your ass in the sling so you do what you think is best.

I grow hydro veggies all the time...LOL. For real, they are mixed in with the bad plants.

i currently have coleus, pansies, spearmint, and habanero in my growroom with the (hopefully) ladies.

buy some tomatto seeds and some hot pepper seeds and star you a grow because your original idea is shot now anyways make some bomb salsa, better than just having a light laying around taking up space. I have owned several Iguana's and they dont use Hps lights they use UV so bad idea now Fish aquariums do use Hid for plants. So i would go with I grow my own organic veggies and actually do it beause you have already got it set up. No worries though you have done nothing illegal!!!!!!!
